Didn't lighten as advertisedFirst time using esalon and was very hopeful. Unfortunately the color of my hair barely changed and overall it feels like a waste. I was trying to get my dark brown hair lighter, which I know isn't easy...especially from a box without bleaching, but the way this was advertised made It seem as though It would work. I was given a sense of possibility when I was shown in the simulation of what my hair would look like post dying it with my selected color. Very DisappointedThe real and honest truth.. my intention is not to bash eSalon or be cruel. This is my actual and honest experience.. I can't speak for the color or the application process but I feel very let-down. I placed my first order a week or two ago and was really excited because I had seen so many reviews stating how great eSalon was. For obvious reasons, I was nervous to purchase hair dye through the internet and was even more unsure about the color that I should get. So I called to talk to a representative or "colorist." I was told that once I created my online profile I could voice those concerns in the questionnaire they have you fill out, select a color that I liked, and then someone would call or email me to talk me through it. When my coloring kit showed up on my doorstep, I still hadn't heard from a colorist, so I gave them a call. I was told that I was speaking to one of eSalon's "colorists" but the woman I was speaking to was definitely not a professional. It was as if she was reading from a script and did nothing to ease my mind. She also didn't seem to know anything about me, my current hair color, or what I was looking for, because she asked me all of the questions she should have already known the answers to when she "pulled up my profile." Again, it is not my intent to "bash" eSalon. Like a lot of people, I have had my fair share of color mishaps and when I get my hair done or dye my hair at home, I want to be able to trust either the stylist or the company that I am buying hair dye from. Not the right colorI ordered here to be safe about the color I was getting by a professional ! I had highlights in my hair so I wanted to go LIGHTER into a caramel color . The hair dye I got made my hair dark brown it took me time to do the highlights now I’m back to square 1 . So upset 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

TerribleI tried to order a color similar to my blonde hair ( I’ve had it blonde for years by choice). I should have known it was going to be an epic disaster when I was not allowed to order blonde. I got a dark ashy brown. I waited and waited to finally use the e-salon product because I was scared it wild come out wrong and of course it did. I went from blonde to brunette which I am very unhappy about. I could have gotten the same results with an over the counter dye. I am Very upset and disappointed, what a waste of money and it makes me look horrible. Very disappointedI used your color and it did not even touch my gray hair. I left it on for the instructed time and it was applied to the gray hair and it did not cover them at all. Very disappointed and I would like a refund 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Did not receiveOrdered this kit at the early April, but I never received the kit to try. Even the delays in the mail due to covid, I should have gotten it by now. Made repeated attempts to speak with color stylist via phone, with no luck. Emailing is no problem and I am receiving a new kit but still don’t have answers to my questions.
