Did not take to my roots.Hello, I truly hate having to give a somewhat bad review. My husband had gotten me this set for my birthday last year and I loved it. So when I ordered it again I was hoping for the same results. Sadly it didn't happen. My ends turned out ok. But my roots look horrible. It took in some places not all. It's very blotchy. I've been coloring my own hair red for over 20 yrs. So I feel I know what I'm doing. I don't know if I chose a color to light or didn't have enough. But I followed step by step instructions. Maybe I needed a darker base. Light to medium brown to give me that dark red I was hoping for. Otherwise my roots the product is wonderful,. I'm sorry I do love eSalon. Not greatDidnt cover grey well. Color is very natural looking but not what I wanted at all. Very dark. And while the color didnt have big impact I feel it's already faded. Seems within a week or 2 my hair is almost simply brown and barely red (note, my hair has natural red Auburn undertone and highlight I wanted to bring out, not cover). Wrong colorUsually I buy my dye from Sally’s and go with a dark brown with violet tint, so I picked the same color on here. I was very excited by the packaging and step by step instructions. Not better than what you buy from the storeI’ve requested a medium blond with an ash tone as this is my natural colour and tone and the result on fully grown roots is a medium honeycomb reddish blonde. It’s the worst colour shade I’ve ever had. It is also very harsh for the scalp. Ive lost a fistful of hair in the shower. Liked the kit, but it didn't cover my grayI had indicated in my order that I had dye-resistant grays and needed an "N" base. No one ever reached out or responded.
