Turned my hair orangeWhat a disaster. I followed every instruction to the T and when I was done my roots were a gross rust/orange color. I’ve used many different at home hair colors, including Esalon preciously, in between salon visits and I have NEVER had my hair turn this color. Not what I wantedI ordered this color to make my hair lighter and even put that in the notes for my stylist. This color made my hair even darker which is exactly want I didn’t want. Do not recommend!Honest review from a woman that has been doing most of my own hair coloring at home since the age of 14. —> The package arrived very timely and in a pretty box set. A+ for presentation! However, I am NOT happy with the product at all! F for the remainder of the review! The color was supposed to be darkest brown, which is the color I have been using on my hair for a long time now. Prior to coloring, I had about 2-2 1/2 inches of growth, which you can still sort of see and my roots look like a slightly lighter shade of brown. Also, it did not cover all my gray. Gray coverage has never been an issue for me and I have used many brands of hair color over the years. I had a friend that does hair help me apply the product. Her response to the strong smell of the dye liquid should have been enough for me to change my mind when she said that this is dollar store quality and it was bad for my hair. The dye liquid had an extremely strong odor! My hair is pretty tough when it comes to color and I wanted to know what the end results were going to be, so I proceeded with the application. My ends, which my friend trimmed prior to coloring feel dry and rough as if she did nothing. This product did exactly what my friend said it would. Did not cover enough gray.Did not cover enough gray. I would like to go just a little warmer brown. Love the gold. It could have been my fault maybe I didn’t use enough product. Maybe I didn’t leave it on long enough. I also did it on clean hair but I would like my gray covered better. I am hoping just a little more brown tint will cover the gray better. My hair color is not rightHi, I colored my hair yesterday and followed the instructions precisely. My hair did not become light blond, it now has a red tint to it.
