Awful...harsh....made hair brittle ...caused breakageTerrible product it is harsh, dried-out hair, and causes breakage. After using the product my hair was so damaged. Don't use this on your hair! I used this over a month ago and am now struggling with getting my hair back into healthy shape. It's try, lacks luster and shine and looks awful. I followed the directions exactly. In addition, it was missing product it says it comes with a conditioner, but that was never in there. My first shipment arrived and the color bottle was leaking all over my doorstep. It was a mess. I will say, that the customer service was wonderful! I immediately called them, and they immediately send out a replacement shipment. They were polite and very accommodating. My interaction with the customer service team was Top Notch. That is the only good thing I have to say about eSalon. The product itself is one that I would never recommend anyone try. My hair is a ruined mess and it is going to take me a long time to get it back to its once healthy, lustrous , shiny condition. Basically, all I can do is wait till the damaged hair grows out. 1 order does not provide enough product for long hair. My hair is a little longer than shoulder length and there was not enough product to adequately cover the amount of hair I had. I needed two orders in order to adequately cover the amount of hair I have. The product is liquid color as opposed to a cream color . It's basically just like what you would buy in the grocery store, only with more steps and with harsher chemicals. my case this was a double process. You administer 1 series of color and then another series of color. It's time consuming and forces you to process your hair with these awful chemicals twice. I'm not a beautician. I'm not in the beauty business. I don't have any connection with any hair color Product Company. I'm just a regular consumer who thought I'd give this innovative product a try. Very impressed so far (much more than expected)I was a bit unsure when I ordered this as this product comes from the US and not the UK so I was worried about where I would stand if things went wrong. I needn't have worried as it was very straight forward (I did the allergy test first). The only difference in the application that I noticed was that after the colouring time you have to rinse it clear, then shampoo and condition with the products provided, and not keep the conditioner on for a couple of minutes afterwards which I have been used to. The colour is lovely, very natural which is what I wanted and my hair feels soft and nourished. So far so good, hopefully it will stay this way until it's time to do again. Something UnexpectedI was three quarters grey. My original colour was a dark ash blonde, when I was younger. I remembered the lovely sun-kissed highlights during the summer and thought that's what I wanted to go back to. However, my colourist--Paul C--sent me something unexpected; what I can only describe as the dark ash blonde I was before the summer sun got to it, and it's perfect! I'm 47, and I think the lighter colour I expected would have been too "young" looking for me. Thank you for the lovley choice of colour and the fantastic grey coverage.
