No More GrayI've been coloring my hair myself for years, but within the last 2 years the products I used didn't color the all of my gray. Finally found a product that is much cheaper than the salon. Best Hair color to do at homeGot the hair color kit and it was kind of overwhelming at first as there was a separate bottle for roots and another for rest of the hair. But the results were amazing and much much better than when I had it done at hair salon. The mahogany touch was very beautiful and hair felt so soft and healthy! I love this company: Product, Service, PriceI was spending hundreds of dollars on having my hair colored at the salon. As my grey started to become more prevalent I noticed roots showing up every three weeks. Not wanting to spend my kids' college tuition at the salon, I went weeks with white roots. This is not pretty at 47 years old. Then my friend told me about eSalon. I saw an ad on Facebook and placed an order. I uploaded pictures and wrote to them about why I started going to the salon and stopped using box color (my hair was falling out and damaged). I was so impressed with my first color! I have salon highlights so I just did my roots with a brush. Wow. There are so many dimensions to my color. My hair is healthier and has more shine than ever! I love it. For some reason I did not receive my second order. The eSalon customer service team was extremely responsive over email, and they even called me! They sent a new kit free of charge. Started out Gorgeous...My color started out Gorgeous! It was a deep mahogany brown with a rich red cast and a shine that I was very, very pleased with. I waited 3 days after coloring to wash my hair again. That was a bad day. My red began to lessen significantly, the shine faded too. The deep brown still seemed ok. Two days later, repeat, less red, now less brown and the xtra shine was gone. It's a week out from my first color and I do have color holding, no stray greys showing or anything like that. But it certainly didn't compare to the day I colored it. A couple more days, another shampoo. More faded color and shine. I'm pretty much down to having just plain brown hair now. I do already have my second kit as it came sooner than I expected. I will probably wait about 2 weeks and try all over again. If I get a second failure then my first try with eSalon will have cost me more than my regular stylist. If it works then it will have worked out to be the same price to get my hair colored, once by my stylist, twice by myself. Either way it seems I've not come out so far ahead as I thought I was supposed to. I should add that if I'm lucky enough to get the result I did with my first try at eSalon and it stays in my hair then I would be satisfied. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |
