Great gray coverage, perfect , fade resistant color, easy to follow instructionsI could not be more pleased with everything, from the richness of the color to the clarity of the instructions. Unbelievable!My requirements for a change in color were complex. I have natural textured hair, 50% gray, with a permanent brown dye color that I got at my hairdressers. It faded to a brassy harsh tone which my hairdresser could not seem to correct. I wanted a darker warmer brown base color with no yellow or red overtones and that is exactly what I got from eSalon. I followed the instructions religiously and I was rewarded with a rich warm purely brown color. I can't believe that the colorist was able to accomplish exactly what I've been trying to get for more than a year from my hairdresser. Very very happy! Not the color I wantedThe color I wanted was strawberry blonde what I got was more auburn. I asked to match my current hair color and color greys, but this color was too dark. The roots look are a bit lighter than the ends and I followed the directions to the T. I really would have liked my first time to have been more positive. I also got worried as I shampooed it as it was so dry and sticky, but once I put in the conditioner it got soft and nice. As it was developing I was a bit worried as it was a bit dark, but I had hoped it would lighted up once it dried, but it hasn't. Instead of light brown maybe it should have been dark blonde? Like color, but feeling sticky!So I've applied color (with a brush), followed the instructions to the letter, washed and conditioned- and I'm a STICKY MESS. I can't even run a comb through my tangled mess of hair. Now, from what I can see in the spots that are not matted down, the color seems to be exactly what I asked for. Unfortunately though, I don't think I'll be ordering from eSalon again, as I will be spending my Saturday night trying to figure out how to return my hair to a normal texture. *update: after googling solutions (there were many posted, as this apparently happens more often than I thought) olive oil ended up being my saving grace!! Great gray coverage but...The color covered gray hair very well but 1 bottle of color, shampoo and conditioner not enough for hair length. Hair shiny and soft but there was no evidence of the purple color I selected.
