Horrible ResultsI am very unhappy with the results of my most recent color. The root color has always been too dark, but every time I tried to get it lighter, it just turned orange. I was going to try to just stick with the dark root color and do highlights every time I did my roots, but that isn't going to work either. The highlights turned the dark hair orange. It looks awful and now I'm going to have to go to the salon to get it fixed. This has not saved me any money at all and now I'll have to go back to getting it done at the salon. :( 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Wanted blonde got blahI started with light brown undyed hair and chose to go to medium beige blonde. I included a photo of my hair and wrote a note to the colorist. In the note I stated that even with ash colors, my hair will go golden thinking adjustments would be made. The finished product is a bland and boring dark golden blonde. eSalon blows me away!!!I've been using your product for months now and I just wanted to say, i was a REAL skeptic... WOW , this product is fantastic! I am so happy with the following: The color is TRUE, no fading, no surprises, just the deep, perfect color you asked for. The texture of my hair has improved dramatically! Post menopause my hair turned to crap, texture and color?.. forget it, a hot mess. THAT'S why I quit paying a hundred dollars to 3 different salons looking for an answer! Suprized by the ease!This is everything it says and then some. I am seventy year old cancer survivor and wanted to to do some thing for me. The color is so true and natural looking! WAAAY better than drugstore brands!So I tried this color after seeing the promo offer. I figured, for $20 I can try something new since that's about what I spend on drugstore hair color. The box arrived quickly and much to my delight, contained TWO bottles of color and processor. I usually have to buy extra because I have long, thick hair. It also had two different colors, which I learned is because roots need different treatment than ends (never knew that!). The process was simple and the directions were very clear. The kit has some cute extras, like a coloring brush, stain guard and stain remover in addition to the usual gloves, shampoo and conditioning treatment. I had already used petroleum jelly around my hairline to protect against staining so I'll save the one in the box for next time! The process was nearly identical to store brands. The chemical smell was definitely harsher, it smelled like a salon, but it wasn't impossible to deal with. The only difference I noticed was in removing the color- it didn't rinse easily at all! At first I thought I was in trouble because I left it in longer than the directions, and I got SUPER nervous when the shampoo from the kit didn't seem to work. My hair was like glue until I used a huge squirt of my own color-guard shampoo. Maybe because I have so much hair, but it was a relief when the normal texture of my hair returned! Conditioning treatment was excellent- no need for extra. And the result? SPECTACULAR! My midnight black is super shiny, soft, even and gorgeous! Not a single grey peeping through!
