Nice colour but applying two bottles was a faffI applied this colour on my own but not being a hairdresser and having quite long hair I found it difficult to keep roots separate from lengths of hair. When I applied the second bottle I applied it all over the hair to ensure I had covered all the hair from roots to tips so that I didn't get a patchy result as I couldn't see very well the back of my head. It was a bit of a faff for me and I would prefer a one bottle application. The colour was lovely and the results were shiny and covered the little bit of grey that I have. A little on the dry side so a richer conditioner would be better for my hair. Returning to best!I have a confession to make. I thought I would try L’Oréal Paris Colorsonic and put my eSalon order on hold for a few months. Big Mistake! Colorsonic was messy and the two closest color choices were either too dark or too light. I’ve been a a member of eSalon since 2012. I missed the control and the color specially formulated for me. Excellent, natural colori have been a client of esalon.com for many, many years and have gone through numerous changes...i like this product, i like the way my hair feels after coloring, i like the outcome...what i don't like is that there is no option to either "pause" orders (there used to be) or even cancel...as i am now older, i want my grey to come through, but apparently esalon now traps you into a lifelong commitment, perhaps even intending to send product after death...customers have a right to easily leave subscriptions...esalon does not seem to think so 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. NAILED IT!!I'm a natural redhead - well I used to be before the gray started. At any rate, it's not a typical red, but more of a copper/gold and it's been nearly impossible the last few years to find a stylist to get it right (my previous stylist retired). I tried an older formula (Wella) and it didn't color the gray well. I had tried eSalon once previously during Covid I think - decided to go back and see if they could fix this mess (another stylist left me with damage and hot roots).
