Love itIt was perfect for my hair. My hair was light brown with highlights and it covered it exactly how I wanted. It was very easy to do yourself and the instructions were very helpful. Only thing I would like different is on when you color the rest of your hair it doesn’t tell you to put your hair back or leave it down so was unsure on that. eSalon Black Hair MistakeCannot fathom how eSalon sent me BLACK hair color in error. Their mistake has caused me to be forced to either let my hair grow out or cut off all my hair. Notified them and they credited my account and resent Dark Brown Hair color WITHOUT telling me it wouldn’t work on black hair!!!!! Totally inconceivable and depressed. I never requested black color and even if I did, they had pictures of my existing color and if they had read my profile, they would have questioned my choice of black!!!! Now I walk around with fair skin, light green eye color and JET BLACK HAIR. I called them and finally talked to someone who admitted their mistake yet acted unsympathetic in telling me to either have it professionally stripped and recolored or to allow it to grow out. custom hair coloreasy to use...but hair felt very plastic when trying to rinse out color...very hard to dry the first time after coloring...felt much better after I washed 2 days later but color started rinsing away from root after only 3 washes. Turned my hair BLACK, will not order again.I ordered the darkest brown and followed the instructions to a T, but it turned my hair BLACK. No pigment variation, just dull and flat black. No brown whatsoever. Trying to color correct black pigment damages the sh*t out of your hair B/c it has to be stripped. Now I have to go and get it fixed since I look like Wednesday Addams. great decisionI made the right decision to use this service. No more guessing. I can change it anytime. In fact I just asked for a small change. Am waiting to try it out. I certainly haven't been disappointed. Nervous first timerI was ready to get rid of my ombré blonde and wanted to save money by coloring my hair at home. Tried eSalon off a recommendation from a friend who absolutely raved about the product. My hair didn't look bad so I knew I did not want to ruin it with a box of dye from the grocery store I was a little nervous at first but I am so happy with the product and its results. Totally personalized for me, even down to the notes of encouragement in my box, easy to use, great coverage and color. My hair felt healthier even after I dyed it. Covered Highlights!I wanted to get rid of my highlights and try to go back to my natural color. I was apprehensive about buying color offline and putting it on my hair because I've had terrible experiences in the past with coloring my hair at home. This was better than I could have expected!
