Colors grey better than any other DIY hair colorI love the color and it actually sticks to grey hair. Boxed dye often fades and lets my grey hair show through within days. I have even had this problem when I've had my hair professionally colored. This color sticks to the grey and does not fade. It is easy to apply and looks fantastic and natural once done. I have also noticed less damage to my hair using this dye compared to other dyes. My only complaint is that the dye is more difficult to wash out than other hair color when it comes time to rinse. Easy to do, but may need changes for next timeThis was easy to do, and relatively quick and thorough. The instructions were great. I would recommend setting up everything ahead of time so you don't try to open bottles with gloves on. I definitely need multiple stain remover packets because the color got everywhere in my bathroom quickly and I didn't have enough cloths to clean my face after. Also, I thought the color was good, but maybe a bit too intense on the mahogany than I wanted. Surprise!I have a pixie cut and was baffled as to how I could cover gray at the roots without making the rest of my hair turn out to look "two toned" as it had using other brand name hair color products. It actually turned out better than any salon I've ever been to. I was also doubtful that I would wind up with the right color from eSalon, as my natural color is an unusual shade of coppery red/strawberry blonde, and no salon has ever gotten it right.
