eSalon Turned My Stylist's Frown Upside DownI am an African American with dreadlocks. I ordered my custom color in April, a month into sheltering in place. Although it was promoted as a do it yourself, I honestly was afraid to try it on my own at home. Fast forward to #GeorgeFloyd weekend. I canceled my auto plan because I had not used the product yet and wasn't sure I ever would. But I still had a problem; I had not got my hair done since March. So I was desperate. Fortunately, my stylist started doing hair at home. She reluctantly allowed me to bring my custom color and gave me every caution and hesitation she could think of. Guess what? To her surprise, she turned out loving the outcome. My color turned out nice! She had absolutely no complaints. My stylist liked (1) the ease of application, (2) the color blend to my hair, and most importantly, (3) no ammonia odors. She loved it! As for me, it covered ALL my stubborn gray, so I like it too! She told me to use this product always going forward, no flip flopping. So, I guess I got to follow her orders. However, I don't like the auto order just yet. If I get on a routine, I may possible sign up again in the future. But for now, I'm taking my time to get comfortable eSalon. My advise is when ordering, tell eSalon EVERYTHING about your hair so they can match you the best! Thanks Mindy!!! You did that!!! The color was spot on and the gray was totally covered!Usually when I get my hair colored (Paul Mitchell product) my scalp itches soooo much for at least a week. Using eSalon/Madison Reed didn't make my scalp itchy at all. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Love My Hair!!!Color was great but would like additional silvery/grayish tone. Knowing you can work with a colorist and be given the possibility this happening makes the product worthwhile. Perfect matchThis was the perfect shade and did not turn brassy but actually remained cool ash brown over time. It did a fairly good job covering up the greys but I will probably try to keep the dye on for 5-10 additional minutes next time. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

I was very impressed.I have found my hard-to-match red haircolor occasionally, but they always take it off the market eventually & then I have to find one all over again. The over the counter ones only last for a few washings & don't cover my gray very well. I was reluctant to do this online, but their product covered my gray, was a perfect match to my natural ginger color, made my hair shinier and lasted through more washings. Absolutely FabulousAfter my purchase Paul my colourist contacted me to request a picture. He was extremely honest and advised due to my natural root colour my roots once the colour had been applied could be warmer. I was given 3 options and plumped for continuing with the purchase. I am a key worker and I've been required to attend numerous meetings. I've not felt good for three weeks as my appearance is extremely important to me. I am used to having my hair professional coloured and cut every 6-8 weeks. I was both excited and dubious about the results when my beautifully packaged colour treatment arrived. The instructions were straight forward and easy to read before and during the treatment. Everything had been thought of a sticker to pin the instructions to the bathroom mirror, two pairs of gloves, stain remover, stain guard and even a bag to put the used bottles and equipment in. However nothing eclipsed the results. The roots were not warmer they were fabulous blended beautifully with the rest of my hair. I am extremely impressed and over the moon with the results. Good productI really liked the personal touches to the kit such as my name on the bottle and the addition of shampoo/ conditioner. There was plenty of product to fully cover head. I only did 4 stars because it didn’t completely cover ever grey hair and it was a little darker than I thought but when doing this yourself it is hard to determine how a color will be with your hair type.
