Not enough shampoo and conditionerAlright, so I just colored my hair and I have mixed reviews about it. I was truly excited to color my hair all one color since I had been highlighting it for about 3 years and wanted to give my hair a break. I picked out a nice color and followed the directions to the T. Once I was going to rinse my hair, I felt my hair a little stiff and thought maybe it’s all the hair color. First I gave it that shine boost by using the color bottle and filling it up with water. I massaged all that to my hair for 3 minutes and then proceeded to washing and conditioning. I rinsed my hair as much as possible until the water came out clear but I still felt my hair real stiff and with hair color still in it. I went ahead and shampooed with the shampoo provided but that did not lather at all but I still used it anyway. I then conditioned my hair with what you all provided but I still felt my hair stiff. I finished and rinsed it off. Well, right now my hair is air drying and I run my fingers through my hair and it feels like I still have color in my hair. I have this residue on my hands and I think I might need to wash my hair again but with my shampoo. I just wish you all would provide enough shampoo and conditioner for at least two washes and my color looks darker than what I had selected. I even sent pics of my current hair color before coloring so the colorist would pick a nice color. Not like it used to be...I have never used another hair color ever. I was really nervous to start coloring. I signed up with esalon and the boxes started coming...and I was still too nervous...and so the boxes piled up. I finally dyed for the first time and loved it! I loved it many times over but the last several times I have I haven't loved it. It's nearly impossible to rinse out of your hair. No matter how much I shampoo and think I have it out, when I start to dry my hair it's a sticky greasy kind of mess...and so I shampoo again...and again. The last 3 times I've dyed my hair it has been that way and I hate it..who has time for that! Not sure what changed but I am going to start looking elsewhere. Overall Good Quality Product!Despite my color not fully turning out to what I had stated in my color goal, or in the photo of what this color is supposed to turn out with on my natural color- I still would say the dye itself is good quality! My new color still looks than it did before I used the product! Considering it was my first time purchase, I anticiapted some tweaks might be needed for my next order. Never again!I did a lot of research on this company and a competitor before I decided to go with Esalon. Big mistake. I can't wash out the color from my scalp, sections of my hair and roots look black when I ordered dark chocolate. My hair is naturally curly and so dry unlike any color I have ever used both colored by myself and in salon. It's taken two coconut oil masks to get any moisture in it and I still am rinsing color out with 5 washes. Followed directions to a T. Thank God it's around Halloween so I can pass it off as part of my costume since my hair is so fried I can't do another color without further damaging my hair. Never again! Not even closeI went with a copper blonde color. The picture of the color i choose showed an almost ginger kind of color. My hair had been previously bleached and I included this in my consultation. When I received my color in the mail I was really excited and immediately began the process... The color was nothing, not even a little bit close, to what I was expecting from my consultation. My hair turned out to be a purplish/slight rose gold color (this is the best way I can describe it). Not a great experience for me!Ok, so first off I love esalon's hair products. I have never had an issue before now. I sent a picture, added that I wanted to go darker than my natural color with some lighter toned highlights, which i was prepared for highlights to not be apart of my kit, and get rid of old dye. However, what i put in my hair was NOT darker than my natural color. They sent two bottles, one for roots and one for ends. I followed instructions and procedures accordingly. About halfway through I started to realize the areas covered were lighter than my roots. I finished the process anyway because i didnt want half done hair. Needless to say my hair turned out about 2 shades light, WHICH IS NOT AT ALL WHAT I WANTED. I am not happy with the color at all. I hate writing bad reviews, but I just not a happy camper about this. I would much rather have my color fixed than a refund. -Update- 10/09/17 This is why I love esalon, they contacted me in regards to my hair, corrected the color adjustment and is sending me 🤞🏽The color I wanted. Just making an effort to fix a mistake isn’t good enough, but to fix it with courtesy, not charge me for it, and give the option of fast shipping is what a good business is all about.
