PerfectI have been coloring my hair for over 20 years. i have gone to salons and purchased color from Sally's. This is great quality color (colors well and doesn't fade as fast) and they got my shade of red right, so right!!!! I love it! Colors gray wellThis is my second time using eSalon coloring. I do think it covers gray better than off the shelf brands and keeps them covered prior to the next coloring. It is great to have the color adjusted for preferences after using it the first time. It is 7-10 more than the shelf brands, however if it continues to perform well on gray coverage and allows me to extend my time between colorings, i believe it is worth it. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. PERFECT the second time around!First, Brittany is my color stylist. The first time around I followed directions for color choice, got my custom package, and got started. I chose a single coloring process, no highlights. While I did not hate my color, it just wasn’t what I was looking for. I contacted eSalon with my review, and my custom color was changed. In addition I purchased a highlight package. All I can say is that I’m THRILLED! My color is perfection. No lie. As my husband and I discussed, I pay upwards of $2500.00 a year on my hair. It’s curly and thinning, so I’ve been willing to pay the cost. Now my routine is 1. Basic, blunt cut 2. Aveda Damage Remedy products and 3. eSalon color. gray hair coverageAfter a week of using the product, the gray hairs at my roots were almost completely visible again. I have had better and longer lasting coverage from Madison Reed, professional colorists, and even drug store products that were 1/3 of the price. I followed the directions to the letter and use color safe shampoo/conditioner (every other day). I will give eSalon products one more try but if I experience such a poor performance again, I will cancel all future orders. I see my next shipment is not until next week. Not the color I was expectingWhile convienent and easy to apply, I was expecting a lighter and brighter red color than I got. It actually was hard to tell I had even colored my hair unless I was under direct light and coming from brown to a red, I would think there would be a difference 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. 100% Sorry I signed up. . .To start, I've never had a sensitive scalp. Never had issues with chemicals on my skin, even when I was 10 and my mom said a perm was "gonna look great!". When I applied my personalized Esalon color to my hair it seriously hurt. The burning sensation was ridiculous. And it's no wonder because the fumes coming from the product were beyond noxious even being in a well ventilated area of my home. I powered through the 1st bottle and wait time. And the same thing happened with the 2nd application and wait time. Got in the shower and "glossed" as recommended. When I rinsed the dye out I could literally feel by back burning from the product and my head felt like it was on fire. It legit felt like I had a million tiny cuts on my scalp and someone poured rubbing alcohol on my head. Severely unpleasant. Shampooed and condotioned. Combed through my hair and let it air dry. When it was pretty much dry I took a look at the color and my roots are currently bright carrot orange and the rest of my hair is my same normal brown with a purple tint. I'm absolutely unimpressed. The only pleasant thing about this experience was that I didn't spend alot on my first box (but I'm sure I'll make up for that when I go to the drugstore to remedy this disaster) and that the shipping time was super fast. To be clear--I never write bad reviews. I never write good reviews. I either like something or I don't and I'll either continue using a product or I won't. I'm not someone that complains. I let it go and move on. However, this situation has really taken me to the point where I feel like I need to say something. Overall, ladies and gentleman this was the most unpleasant experience I've ever had with in-home hair color. Such a waste of my time. Great job Karen W. 😩 0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
