Great Colour, Shine and softnessMy hair has not shined like this in a long time. Its soft and feels fuller too. It was very creamy and felt oily but without the greasiness. Excellent!I love the color and the videos made the application process easy. I feel like all of my hair is colored well and evenly. At the end of the process I dumped dye and water over my head, and the dye dripped down my body and splashed on the floor, and I felt like a vampire princess bathing in blood.* It was empowering. My only complaint is that 4 out of 8 of the containers sent to me were difficult to open, at least in a wearing slippery gloves scenario. Love itI got a lot of compliments on my hair color it’s really the color I want little darker then what I want but to cover my gray hair it’s perfect .. I have one comment my hair is thin I can use one bottle for 2 times it’s a waste to through the rest of the bottle where I have some left if only I can use it for 2 applications would that be an option or once I open the bottle I have to use it all ? 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. GreatIt was perfect. Unfortunately, I spilled some if the developer for the ends color. I still applied it but it wasn’t as uniform but I think it was that spilling and my concern about leaving it too much time. Less than underwhelmed......by the whole experience really. I had high hopes considering some of the other reviews. I'm 40 years old and have been colouring my grey hair for the past 20 years. Sometimes I do it myself and sometimes I go to the salon. The point is I'd say I'm a dab hand at getting the job done myself. The packaging is cute, but let's face it, you aren't going to be keeping that for too long. I followed the instructions to the letter. The process was SO messy. My vintage enamel bath tub now needs refinishing as it is so badly stained by the hair dye... that has never happened before when I have coloured my hair. My husband is furious to say the least! I'm now slightly irritated by the fact that my next package is on its way, without so much as a 'Hi, how did you get on' from my 'personal esalon stylist' following my trial. I won't be using the dye when it arrives which is a shame as it's a waste of money. Also there is no clear way or customer service contact to end my 'subscription'. Despite the claims, customer service does not appear to be high on the agenda here. All I can say is using Esalon has made me realise that going to the hairdresser to have your colour done is worth every penny. didn't work outMy natural color is a dark medium blond. Store box color blond turned it brassy light orange (it would be golden at best). I asked esalon for a color that would turn it light Ash blond. I followed instructions to a t. It turned out slightly darker (and a bit on the red side) of my natural color. Not what I wanted. I asked for intense copper and I got a tepid blonde-copperMy family didn't even notice I'd dyed my hair until I pointed out, really disappointing after all the faff of dying your hair to find that there's been barely a change and the vibrant colour you were looking for isn't there. Messed upI was going to cancel my subscription due to grey coverage not working well the past 6 months or so. Esalon offered to give me a free hair color to see if they could correct the problem. I trusted that my color would remain the same as it always has been, but instead of the semi-permanent , they'd simply be switching me to a permanent colorant.... But now my hair is even more messed up! First of all, the perminant dye smells horribly toxic and strong (like eyes almost bleeding, and I don't feel that's an exaggeration, I could hardly breath and had to close my eyes when ever I could during the process) Secondly, they changed my hair color to light brown instead of medium brown and it lightened my roots to an orange color! BummedI loved the color I was getting when I started this plan. This last one I just got didn’t come out the way It usually does. I’m so bummed about it because I loved it and now my hair is bright red. Not the normal color. I’m not sure what to do. I really don’t want to dye it again.
