Didn't like a year ago, but something has changed for the better...They color is so-so, but my hair feels like wax afterwards. The shampoo probably takes some of it out, but the conditioner makes it even worse! Don't plan on leaving your house the day you color your hair. UPDATE: I received directions from eSalon on how to get the color all out of my hair, and the problem I had before has been fixed. The color this time is one of the best I have ever had. I didn't do such a great job with Bottle #2, but that is my fault. I have asked to have that bottle shipped to me again so I can do better with it next time. Love this!!! (calling all guys - read this review!)I absolutely LOVE my custom colour!! I started going grey at 21. Before that I had naturally black hair, but it wasn’t jet black, it was a ‘soft black’ like the colour of charcoal. But black off-the-shelf box dyes ALWAYS turned my hair jet black which looked unnatural and harsh. I’m almost completely deaf so going to a hair salon is very frustrating for me as I have to endure a constantly misheard and repetitive conversation with the hairdresser or sit there in an awkward silence. One time I went to a hairdresser I went with a photo of my natural soft black hair and even then it came out jet black (having paid £50). This hair dye got me back to my natural colour and it wasn’t too distressing on my natural ringlets. But I was seriously impressed with the colour. I FINALLY have my ‘light black’ hair again. I’m a 29 year old male so if there are any guys reading this, I strongly recommend this brand if you are going grey and are undecided on dying your hair or are too self conscious to buy a dye in a shop/go to a hairdresser. It has given me an advantage at work too. At 29 years old, I’ve just recently passed the age at which most guys begin going grey/bald. When I’m in a meeting at work, usually a female member of staff compliments my black curly hair but then a few male staff usually chime in with how lucky I am to still have “a full head of hair that is t going grey” :D 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Too red!I had wanted my hair more brown and my hair came out red again. I was furious! I called the company and said I did not want any more orders! The color from last month is still siitting in the box. Your developer needs is the strongest smelling I have used. It makes my eyes water and I cough. I do not want any products. Very bad service - please cancel immediatelyI am really cross. I wanted to try a one-off colour and had no idea that I signed up monthly. I only realized when I received another box. Please note this is only the second one I have received so I am not happy that I have paid for three. I keep asking for lighter and I keep getting darkI’m not sure why I just keep getting a super dark brown when I’ve asked each time for several shades lighter? I hoped third time would be a charm so I kept my order coming and even added the highlights this time. BIG mistake. Not only do I once again have super dark brown hair (black almost) now I have atrocious bright red streaks!! I followed the instructions exactly, since I know these things can go wrong. And I’m not new to the highlighting at home game either. I often got compliments on my previous color and highlight set, but they got discontinued. Now I have to hide my hair until I can recolor it after work tomorrow! 2nd time and very happyReviewing my second order of the colour set and cannot be happier. My first was with Colorfill technique, as I had very light full-head highlighted hair, so had to fill in the colour to achieve my desired medium blonde. That was 7 weeks ago and it washed out really well, without a visible line between my highlighted hair, my own roots (I had about 1.5cm before first esalon), and the roots that have grown out since. This second order was Roots + Ends, and it was again very easy to apply, the dye doesn't smell (mine is Demi-Permanent ammonia-free), and looks like glossy oil. The result is vibrant Warm Beige Medium Blonde, my own 3cm naturally medium blonde roots have been blended very well with the lighter previously highlighted hair. The colour has been adjusted to include a bit of ash and looks exactly how I described it in my adjustment request - a bit of caramel, a bit of beige, a bit like antique blonde. For the next order, I will either keep the same colour, or adjust to Cool Beige. Very happy with the whole service and would highly recommend. 149 of 155 people found this review helpful. Did you? |
