Great at first, but...I had been dying my hair blonde for years and was getting tired of seeing too much red near my roots that contrasted my length which had no red. I decided that it was time to go darker to try and get rid of the red and get my hair closer to its natural color. I was super psyched with the results after coloring my hair with eSalons light/medium ash brown. Not all, but most of the red in my hair was neutralized and it was a super flattering soft shade of ash brown. After less than two weeks, however, most of the color has washed completely out of my hair exposing more red in my roots. I think the most disappointing thing is seeing the length of my hair lose most of the new color and reverting back to its previous blonde color. Keep in mind that I only wash my hair every three days or so using a good brand of shampoo/conditioner that's sulfate-free and specifically for color-treated hair. Not only that, but I also use eSalon's Tint Rinse two times a week as well as their Universal Leave-In every time I wash my hair, and their Weekly Retreat once a week. I also don't use any sort of styling product in my hair. Being someone who has struggled with getting their hair color where they want it for a long time, I'm pretty disappointed as I don't like the idea of having to do all-over color every time I color my hair and paying over $25 each time. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Alas, disappointed again!I was hoping to get a more even overall shade of red but I guess I am simply cursed. The ends ended up being the colour I was after (which I get is due to having previous highlights) but since I had specifically asked for an overall even shade, I would’ve been happier had the ends matched the roots rather than vice versa (which I know wasn’t going to be achieved the first time!) I am 6 months pregnant now and honestly it took so much effort for me to dye my hair which I kept saying to myself will be worth it when I see the result ... but that has not happened, yet again. Smells horrible and doesnt lastThe smelll is so strong, it makes me sick. There was no dimension to the color , it was a dull dark brown with hints or purple and i lost almost all colour after 4 days 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Perfect colour, perfect to handleThis colour is just the best colour ever. It smells SO good, stings only a little in the eyes when applying. My hair feels alive after colouring, not as flat and dead as after using drugstore colours. It is shiny, and the whole process of colouring is such a pleasurable experience thanks to the many parts of the package: TWO pairs of gloves! Stain remover that ACTUALLY removes stains!
