Best colour I’ve used!I’ve been dyeing my hair for 30 years, and I think this has been the best product I’ve used. It covered all my annoying greys..and gave me the warmth and shine that I wanted. I am so pleased with my ‘light brown, mahogany copper’ - I love it..and I’m so glad I decided to take the plunge with this customisable colour service. The outcome wasn't satisfactoryWell, it's too dark on my hair. My family even didn't realize I color my hair. I expected more change. I can say the quality of the product is good. It didn't damage my hair. Also, I feel my hair is smoother after coloring but the color itself didn't go as I expected. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Turned my hair orange TWICE in the last 6 monthsI have been a customer since 2016 dying my hair every 4 weeks. July 2024 I dyed my hair as usual and once dry I noticed my hair was orange wherever the dye was put in my hair. I called esalon & they apologized and shipped out a replacement box for free. I did notice that the dye had exploded out of the bottle in the garbage can where I had thrown it out and this never happens. Fast forward to Dec 2024, dye my hair and hair is orange again! I’m so upset as this is the second time and it is the holidays and I have events to attend and my hair is orange. I call esalon and ask them to please overnight the replacement box. I ask why this is happening and the colorist on the phone admits I’m not the first & that they've been having warehousing issues!!! Needless to say they said they would ship out express and they did not and I got it 10days later and spent the holidays with orange hair. The dye also again exploded out of the bottle in garbage can. After being a loyal customer for 7 years and they can’t even correct their mistake in a timely manor. I am done with this company. 2 of 2 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Too light & didn’t cover graysI asked for the darkest brown with copper tones. My hair is now a light coppery brown color. Also, it didn’t cover up my grays. I followed the instructions exactly and I’m very disappointed in the results. Another problem was the smell. I’ve used a few different hair color services to try find the best one for me, and this one was the most chemical smelling. I’m still sneezing hours later.
