Best I’ve ever used!I am so glad I came back to esalon for my hair color! I was a customer of a different company and felt like I was being disloyal to them when I tried esalon. However, there is no comparison between the products so it’s time to switch my loyalty. Esalon’s hair color stays rich and healthy looking even after 4 weeks of the application. The color seems to become richer and better with time instead of fading. I receive a lot of compliments and most people can’t believe it’s an at-home kit! Custom Color Just for YouRecently moved to a mountain village and pretty much letting gray just run its course. Well as predicted I felt I needed a hair adjustment one problem no nearby salon, YEKS! Stroke of luck of Just by coincidence while online I discovered eSalon! And I am loving it -- firstly went with a dark brown -- mostly covering gray! Then adjusted color to a medium brown reducing brassy tones then the wild of my soul said "Highlights", well that didn't go very well definitely an operator error! No problem just colored over highlights! Well I'm going to give it another try this time "following the instructions! ESalon provides the tools, great products and the luxury and ease to self create beautiful hair! Good stuff!I'm a hard case. My originally black hair is now snow-white, and it's very coarse and wavy, and it tends to get very dry and frizzy if I don't keep it well-conditioned. I now dye it a dark brown, but I usually get hot roots no matter how careful I am. My white hair just doesn't take color well, and it's nearly impossible not to overlap previously colored hair with dye (for me, anyway). So I get lighter roots unless I dye it all jet black, and I'm afraid my goth years are long over. To top it all off, my skin is kind of sensitive and dye often burns my scalp. I've had to rinse dye out before it set because my scalp couldn't take it. The color didn't burn my scalp (yay!), and for once my regrowth actually blends in with the rest of my hair. I've only had that happen before when I visited the salon, where my stylist is brilliant but color is expensive. Anna, my ESalon colorist, actually managed to blend something that colored my white roots a nice dark brown. Go Anna! You can tell your boss that I said you were awesome. I've thought of lightening my hair by one shade, and I'd feel confident about asking you for advice. I also appreciated the detailed instructions in the package and online. Points to your content department. I'd have given this purchase five stars, but one little thing bothers me. I felt there was a bit of overpackaging for the sake of presentation in my order. I'd rather receive a package that wasn't quite so pretty and didn't use molded plastic. I imagine the small tubes of shampoo and conditioner save ESalon money, but I appreciated that they weren't plastic bottles. If ESalon would cut back on the plastic, I'd feel much better about future purposes. I realize this is a problem with pretty much any home hair color, but I'd feel better about my purchases if ESalon used more sustainable packaging. Not what I expectedI ordered a dark chocolate brown being that this is the color I both dye my hair with at home and what I ask for in the salon. I recieved my box and followed the directions exactly and yet when I finished my roots where a medium bright red and none of my gray was covered. Now I have to pay more to fix this.
