Can't get through to talk to someone about my colorI have been trying to submit questions about the color I recieved since my former hairstylist only recently shared my color information with me. I want to talk to an expert at eSalon and compare whether what I was sent is close to what I want to match. The website has no call number and the form for requesting help does not complete the submittal. Not what I expected, very disappointedBefore the pandemic I used to do all over blonde highlights with a cool undertone in a salon. Each visit was like $200-250. It’s very hard to keep up the blonde when the salons are closed so I bought an ammonia free box dye at Target and colored my hair in a dark blonde neutral shade. It actually turned out really nicely so I did it again about a month later. And then I started seeing all these ads about custom salon quality hair color services. So I decided to try esalon. I’ve chosen dark ash blonde shade and sent them a photo along with detailed description of my previous color and hair goals. The order was delayed by about 10 days but that was not a big deal. It arrived in a nice box and clear instructions. I have to say I read all the instructions and followed it to a t! Well, first of all, the ammonia smell was unbearable and I thought I’m going to collapse! When I washed and dried my hair I was so upset! I had orange brassy roots and the length was much lighter and warmer than what I expected. It was supposed to be a dark ash blonde! Well it was far from it. I had to research my options how to cover up this mess. I bought a color depositing deep conditioner in light brown and purple to counteract those brassy roots and cover light yellow blonde on the length. That was an additional $60 but it looks decent now. I wish I just bought one of those ammonia free natural box dyes and saved my hair from damage, disappointment and more expense.
