Great on greys!!Thought I would try Esalon during lockdown due to not being able to get my hair coloured at the hairdressers. I wasn’t disappointed! I thought the overall colour was a lovely brown with hints of lighter golden tones coming through, it’s turned out darker than I expected but that’s probably my fault selecting the shade incorrectly, love it anyway. Also covered my stubborn grey hair very well, there’s nothing worse than dying your hair & still be able to see hints of grey! I’m very happy with the product, packaging, instructions & service. Aaack!I was so excited to get this shipment. I waited until I had sufficient time so I wouldn't need to rush. Loved the instructions and the sticker to post them on the mirror (and then in the shower). I appreciated the stain protector and wipe for afterwards (I didn't use the latter). I thought the color would be great.................but it's not! The grays around my face are still there, although maybe a little less noticeable and even though I was super diligent about applying the root color in the back, it's still a dark brown..........and the red is what many OTC kits refer to as Copper Penny! It's hideous and I hate it. The overall color coverage is only meh......and I followed the instructions to the letter. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed and probably won't purchase this again. Unless the coverage lasts more than two weeks (the gray coverage is already not great), I definitely won't purchase again OR recommend to others. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Shipping date is not accurateI am new using this company. I used to pay a lot of money on hair salons so when I heard and researched esalon I gave them a try. My first order came perfect and I have to say I really love it. After receiving my first order I scheduled my plan with shipping date June 1st. Since I didn't heard nothing about shipping status I sent an email and the response was that shipment takes 7-10 days, they charged my credit card on June 1st, but I need to wait almost 2 weeks for my order. I color my roots every 4 weeks and I was expecting to receive my order on time (like 3 days after my shipping date) but that would not happen. My roots are due for color and I am so dissapointed with this company. If I had known this, I would have scheduled an earlier shipping date. Good color but not what I wantedHair colors are good. I started with brown without the cooper look. I got great results then I wanted to go light brown to dirty blonde but got a cooper looking reddish instead. Color looks good but i wanted dirty blonde 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. The productvi is easy to use.I prefer more dimension and variation of color I highlight my hair and I used 2 different products to create the highlights.. Wonderful Product, Difficulty With MatchingWhile I really like the hair color itself, as well as the application accessories, I have resistant grays that are not completely covering and my base color is still too light after an adjustment. My third order is on it's way and I'm hoping that by darkening it 1/2 shade I will get better gray coverage and a better match to what my hair color was previously. I do love the way my hair feels after coloring...the shampoo and conditioner provided are superb!! IneffectiveWhen I saw that my kit had 15vol developer I shouldn’ve pauses and not used it. I went ahead, because. I’m stuck at home and nobody sees me so, let’s experiment. I mixed up the color and applied to most of my regrowth at the roots and then around on some of my fading highlights and my “bangs” I left it on for 30 minutes because 15 vol. sure enough, my hair looks sort of strawberry blonde now? My husband can’t decide and that’s outside in the sun. My hair has no dimension and it’s lost it’s shine. I’ve used a salon quality purple conditioning masque that’s toned down the awful, yellow cast. I’m left a message after I used the product and was told I’d be contacted by a colorist. As of today I haven’t. I suppose I could have spent $10 on something else as useless. The company should be more cognizant that this is people’s hair. For a lot of now people hair is very important, maybe over clothes. I cut some of it off I was so tired of looking at the now dull color. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |
