Absolutely loved and it was my first time!Everything was as promised. For the first time to color my hair at home, I was thrilled how it turned out. I had watched lots of videos on how to foil my color in for lowlights and wow, they made it look easy! I struggled with the whole foil thing and just decided to brush it in and while my technique was lacking, it still turned out great! The shampoo and conditioner they sent was awesome so I came back to order some of that today! My hair looks and feels smooth and shiny and smelled great immediately! Never going back to a salon for a colour!I am so, so happy I tried eSalon. The website is easy to use and allows you to easily add pictures, view your colour and message your stylist - as well as change your shipping date if needed with ease! Onto the hair dye, the application is easy to use and unlike other dyes doesn't go hard and sticky when applying, this stays nice and smooth making application easy and less to no chance of missing a patch! The colour is exactly what I wanted a vibrant red - better than when I've had it done at the salon or by box dye. I cannot comment on the longevity of the dye as I dyed it yesterday but regardless I cannot rate it enough. Even if it fades, which red is prone too anyway, I have a lovely looking tint rinse to use until the next ends application! Normally, I'd get a box dye and put it all over my head every 4 weeks (if not going to a salon) my roots needed 15mins with this kit and my ends 10mins - I followed the instructions exactly feeling as though 10 mins isn't going to be enough (not used to a short amount of time)- but it's all that was needed! Perfect Colour!I just loved my colour, thank you for getting it so spot on! My only reason for not giving 5 stars was that there was nowhere near enough shampoo and conditioner for my thick hair. New ShampooColor is great as always but not thrilled with the Caviar shampoo and conditioner. Made my hair too limp and the amount in the packets is so small, it barely was enough for a shampoo although it did produce a lot of "suds" Hope you'll go back to the one you had been shipping that always worked great. DisappointedI was looking into lightening my hair so that I can have a little bit of fun with semi-permanent dyes whilst I’m working from home (I work in a traditional profession so haven’t had a chance to go unconventional for 8 years) I have specified that my main goal was to reach level 7 from level 5, specifically asking for dark ashy blonde. I only really ‘had’ this one chance as I had natural hair colour and did not want to bleach my hair which I why I decided to entrust someone more experienced and knowledgable to provide me with what I needed to achieve my goal. I have included a number of photos of my hair so that the colourist could make an informed decision when mixing my colour. There was a lot of ammonium in my colour, considerably more than any box hair dye I have ever come across (and I have dyed a lot of hair at Uni). The level 15 developer did hardly anything to my hair: my hair was ginger-ish when standing next to a strong artificial white light, whereas my ends appeared darker, if anything, in natural light. I was unhappy with the results which is why I have purchased a level 6 toner which was too light for my supposedly freshly coloured level 7 hair. The only visible result is the dryness of my hair. Definitely disappointed with the outcome and the fact that I now have to wait years for my hair to grow back if I don’t want to use bleach and cannot experiment with different vibrant colours during lock down. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
