A bit too yellow for my taste...I wanted to go from my natural hair colour (ash blonde with a hint of red) to a light blonde. At first I was reluctant to try out the dye they sent me, and tbh I should have listened to my gut. After following all the instructions, and a look into the mirror I was surprised by a hair colour that could very well be described as a similar shade as a very controversial former US president is wearing on his head. Very yellow. Very much not what I was going for, and very disappointing. Now I have to "sit out" this colour, wait for my hair and scalp to recover, to run to the salon to get it fixed, after all. Not goodMy hair is fine & partial gray @ roots Did not cover roots! Left on full amount of time, if not longer. Made my ends tangle (yes it was completely tangle free & brushed prior to coloring) & then lots of my hair fell out. Not for fine hair. And did nothing for greys. If you feel you have been losing significantly more than this, you may have had an allergic reaction. Using your product for the first time.It was good to use a product I had more confidence in. The color came out good and I was happy with the outcome. Yay, I don't have to go to the salon!I will preface by saying, I hate going to the salon. After my the stylist at my salon left and COVID happened, I decided to start cutting my hair myself. It worked out well because I have a very easy haircut. Recently I noticed my red hair was fading with my age and I also saw a few white hairs. Again, because I hate going to the salon, I tried a box dye from CVS. It was okay but faded pretty fast (after a few weeks). I came across eSalon by doing some internet research and decided to give them a try. I'm so glad I did! I filled out the questions, uploaded a picture of what my hair currently looked like and another picture of the color I wanted it to be. Less than a week later I received my custom color and supplies in the mail. I was a bit nervous but the color turned out EXACTLY like I wanted. I signed up for the auto-shipments every 6 weeks.
