Better than the salon!I was hesitant to try eSalon, but after a few pesky grays showed up right when salons in Los Angeles shutdown again, I was desperate for for quality color. Sure, I could’ve gone for store bought color, but after spending my early adulthood experimenting with said colors, it can be quite damaging and fades. Thanks to eSalon, I’m trying to figure out how to breakup with my colorist. Shocking, yes. The online process was simple and fast. So simple, I did doubt what I was to receive, but when the when the color and materials arrived, I felt at ease. The coloring was stupid easy and took way less time than being in the actual salon. At first, I thought my roots were too dark, but everything blended in a couple of days and I’ve received so many compliments on my dark golden brown hue (with no sneaky grays!). Some tips: I’m messy! eSalon provided a stain guard to put around the face and neck - so helpful! They also provided a wipe to remove any color marks (I used this on my Porcelain sink to remove some of my messiness). I did my coloring topless in my bathroom with an old towel wrapped around my shoulders. This old towel is now my “color towel.” The permanent product will stain garments, so don’t color in anything you wish to keep spotless. I also got some color spots on my tile floor. Color was too golden and I ordered an ash tone....Hi, Your light ash blonde was too golden in tone....I usually buy L'oreal Excellence---and thought I'd try yours since L'oreal seems to fade faster and faster....L'oreal's' and Clairol's light ash blonde level 9 colors impart a more ash tone than e-salons did. However, the E-salon was gentler to skin and hair---Clairol burns my neck and L'oreal doesn't cover gray as well. In addition, I like your liquid color in a bottle rather than having to squeeze color out of those tubes and all the accessories are nice , but I want great multi-dimensional color color that's long-lasting...we'll see how well yours measures up.... 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Extremely Drying Will Never Use AgainI loved the color itself however I will never use the product again. My hair became so very dry and so extremely frizzy within days after using the product! I have naturally curly hair and let it dry naturally, no heat. No matter how I tried to condition it, nothing helped. Customer service was very good, they did send me a conditioner but it did not help at all. Unfortunately I did not cancel the order before the second shipment came. They did not refund me for the second set of color which I did have a chance to cancel but I didn't do it in time,... understandable. So I threw it out. Not Buying Again!My hair was supposed to be much lighter than it was, and now it is darker. I followed the instructions exactly and read them a million times. My hair is now stiff from the middle to the ends and I thought it would work because a lot of people have preferred this site. Perfect ColorI continue to be amazed each time I do my hair. The color is perfect and the highlights are amazing. I was worried about doing my roots, since I didn’t want to color over the highlights. But I followed the instructions and it came out perfect. The color and highlights are the perfect combination. I’ve never had such great results.
