Lackluster Results, Spectacular MessI was really excited to try this product. My hair is dark brown naturally so I chose the "soft black intense pearl" color thinking that it would give my hair an interesting violet tone. Nope, it looks almost exactly the same. It's maybe slightly darker. I was disappointed and threw away my supplies. I came back maybe an hour or two later to find that the product had EXPLODED and dripped down the sides of my trash can, onto my shower curtain and onto the floor. The shower curtain was beyond saving as it has a huge glob of dye stuck to it. My floor is still stained. I just don't see the benefit in a product that's four times the price of drug store hair dye but yields basically the same results and creates such a mess afterwards (an issue I've never had with the cheaper dyes). The best at-home hair dye I’ve ever used...The kit is really well put together (love the stain remover wipe!), easy instructions and the dye covers all my hair evenly. But what really makes the esalon experience great is the team that puts together your individual colour based on the information you give them. It’s unique to your hair type and colour - not a “one size fits all” approach of regular at-home box dyes. Personally I’ve made little tweaks to what I’d like my colour to be each time and each time they’ve adjusted it perfectly to my request. Couldn’t be easier or prettierThis product is perfect and easy for home hair color. My hair grows out fast. The continuous time consuming touch up appointments were expensive and tiring. So glad I gave it a try!I ordered my color, then I began to second guessed my choices of doing so after reading a few reviews online that were negative. I’ve colored my hair in the past myself with beauty salon products and I was so nervous about doing this with only pictures and writing of my wishes. Well, I ended up calling once received to feel better about my choice and the lady was sweet but not too helpful, I told her I was nervous about using the products and she told me to just follow the instructions. Not completely satisfied with that answer, I shelved the box again for a week. Then seeing my need to color my roots and minimal grays, I called once again. I got a specialist and she discussed my fears, told me the colorist took all my stated fears into consideration already and explained everything in detail to me about how they do things. Now satisfied, I took the plunge and I am so glad I gave it a try! The color is exactly what I wanted. Hair feels healthy, looks shiny and I had plenty of color for my hair that goes mid to low back in length. I am very excited and know they are there to help if you need it.
