Couldn’t have asked for better hair color!Heather found the perfect color. The process was a little messy but the big reveal made it all worth it. Colour not quite rightI have had several colour kits from eSalon now and have tried to offer feedback to the colourists each time in order to achieve the shade I want. The first one I used probably came the closest but was a little too dark. However this time I ended up disappointed with the colour result. I am looking to achieve a mahogny shade but found this one too light - its more auburn brown than mahogany! Awful experience!I'll admit up front that I have absolutely no talent for coloring hair and haven't done it myself in over 25 yrs. Prior to that I used to use a box dye from the drugstore. It wasn't great, but it never turned out as awful as the eSalon color did. I specifically requested an ash color with NO warm tones. What I ended up with was a horrible red-brown that turned an equally ugly lighter orange color as I washed it daily over the next 2 weeks. At that point I gave up and made an appt with my hairstylist. It took 5 hours for her to get *most* of the red/orange tones out. She's been doing my hair for almost 15 yrs and knows that I always want my hair to be very ashy/cool, regardless of whether I'm blonde or brunette.
