Love all their productsI am so happy with all the products offered by esalon. So far I've experimented with 2 colors and the highlights and have gotten a lot of compliments. Great experience so far!Tbh I haven't even seen the color dry yet but I've so loved the process I had to post a review early. The whole setup and questionnaire process were well thought out. It came quickly and the packaging is simple but very pretty. The products smell amazing and the instructions were simple and easy to follow. And the shampoo and conditioner smelled so good and foamed as big as the best suds at any salon I've visited. Ok experienceThe product did not cover the white spots near my ears.. but that was my fault as I am always very worried about the skin staining on my hair line. Had a hell of a time trying to tackle the back of my head and while tryinh my best I have to admit I missed the salon experience. The color is fine. The timing was quick and I did not mess upmy bathroom with dye everywhere. I liked the packing of the product and the idea. Nice to do this in the quiet of my own home. Good colour but still a few greysFirstly - I like this a lot. Felt much more confident applying than when I have spent ages in a shop staring at two boxes of dye that look exactly the same but aren’t! I watched all of the videos and got to it. I have some really stubborn greys at the side and front so paid extra attention to those areas as per the videos. I checked and rechecked to make sure they were saturated. But then after washing and as my hair began to dry, I was a little disappointed to still see some of them. Don’t get me wrong, there are less than usual with previous dyes I tried, but I think maybe I had unrealistic expectations. Also I tried a semi so maybe that’s why too? Not going to like this but...Love the product but.. I want my product on the 1st but you can’t specify the first. I have to go in every time and put in the date ahead of time to get it on the first. You can’t put in 4 weeks because it doesn’t fall that way. Need to make it easier for the customer to put a date in and for the company to figure out how long it takes for that product to be received on time. I was expecting my order on the 1st, I will not be getting it until the 8th. Now I have to figure the date to use to get it on the 1st every time 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

It was too dark & it didn’t last past 10 washesThe color was darker than I wanted so the colorist has adjusted it. The solution was hard to get to come out of the bottle & was hurting my wrist squeezing it & it would come out in clumps so that part got really messy. I will just make those clothes my coloring hair clothes. But I had to cut the end of the bottle to get it to come out easier. Not a huge deal -but was a bit frustrating. The color between roots & the rest of my hair turned out well. My hair felt a bit dryer after the color- will try again to see if that is dry damage (more harsh on my hair than Clairol) or just a fluke. I would like to see how long this color lasts to see if it’s worth the cost. It didn’t cover the gray around my face & temples like it should have & I saturated those areas. Will try it one more time to see if it’s a much better experience to justify the cost over clairol box that I normally use. I’m hopeful that this turns into a partnership but just not convinced yet.- I plan to cancel - stylist said I must go darker to cover gray but drugstore brand lighter shades cover better at a fraction of the cost.
