My Husband, My Colorist!My husband (who knows nothing about coloring hair) but who is a very patient man, has been coloring my hair the past 3-4 months with eSalon. I am using a light blond mix and finding the color is quite closely matched and I am very happy with it. He finds it easier to apply the product from a bowl rather than the squeeze bottle, putting the brush in the bowl to re-apply more color. The shampoo and conditioner they provide makes your hair feel so healthy and the purple rinse that was included with the first month, I use it every shampooing as it takes any brassiness out and I still have some left, but I wash my hair every 3-5 days. One suggestion: rinse the color out in the sink and not the shower. Since I had to take a shower the last time we colored my hair, I thought I would just be very careful not to get the product in my eyes as I was rinsing (with my head held back but under the showerhead ) but as careful as I tried to be, it's impossible not to have some run into your eyes. I rinsed them with water and saline solution, but maybe due to my allergies, my eyes itched terribly for days! Perfect!!I'm so impressed with how my custom color turned out!! I've never colored my own hair in my life, but I've done my mom's roots for a while so I knew I could do it. This blended in perfectly with my root color and covered all of my grays. It looks just as good (if not better) than when I go to the salon! I'm never going back. Love the new formula!Love the new formula! I've always thought esalon has the best color for me but I've had trouble getting it washed out of my hair. It seemed to turn almost solid after leaving it in and would take almost an hour to wash out. I found myself losing hair in the attempt, and would still find color for the next few washes. This time, it washed out easily! I thought it was just a fluke until I saw the note about the new formula that easily washed out.
