Color not right and made hair feel like strawI wanted to love esalon but it is just not working for me. I am very experienced with coloring my hair at home. I asked for light cool ash brown. The first color was very warm and also gave me hot roots. I also felt like my hair was very dry and dull looking after the color and it seemed to fade off my grey after 2 weeks (which was only FIVE washes - and this was permanent color!) Went to cancel and they offered to redo it for free so I tried again asking for even more ash to cancel the brass. This came out a bit less warm but was still nowhere near "ash". Same dry feeling and dull looking hair, and same ridiculously fast fading. Super bummed after reading so many positive reviews and cancelling for good this time. Dyed my hair today and very disappointedHi, I have dyed my hair today and I am very disappointed as it is very flat colour, no shine. I have been using this colour for a long time now but feel something is quite wrong with the dye I’ve used today. Update in July 2020. What happened???Edit July 30, 2020: Just tried the "new formulation". Awful. It was more difficult to apply and definitely did not rinse out easier. When I went to add the water for the ends refresh, it was like concrete in the bottom of the bottle. This new formulation is no improvement. My hair feels like straw. I've been using this service for 3 years but this has me rethinking it. 2017: Just finished coloring my hair and it's exactly the shade that I'd hoped for. Directions were clear and easy to follow.
