Roots do not match rest of my hair!Loved the personalised box I received - everything I needed in the kit ready to go. Instructions were straight forward and easy to follow. I received a colour for my roots and a separate colour for my ends. I must admit - dying my own hair was a lot harder than I appreciated. Doing the front sections of my hair were managable; but doing the back sections were really difficult - so took me longer than maybe it is supposed to just for the roots. I followed all the instructions but my roots have come out a lot lighter than the rest of my hair. did not like the colorI did not like the color it was to dark and ask to have a different color sent. After several emails I just ask them to stop and not send anything else. I understood the shade below the one I had originally received would not lighten my hair but it would be something I could use later on once this shade had lighten. Botched Hair ColorI am very disappointed in the results I received with Esalon custom color. I decided to try ESalon based on the recommendation of a friend. I moved states and was looking for a more budget friendly color option as I only needed a root touch up. I provided several recent pictures as well as my previous stylists notes on how to mix my color. The color provided was far too light and red and my roots were very noticeably a different color. They sent a new color at no charge which I appreciated but I still have noticeable color bands after applying it. Any person with real coloring experience would know that the root color would need to be corrected in order to even out my entire head of hair - applying color over color is going to give you inconsistent results. I am now having to spend a pretty penny to have it corrected. I would have had better results picking my own color from CVS or Sally's. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Not right for my hairI have had my eye on eSalon for so Long and finally decided to try it. I really hate saying this but for me, it just didn't work out well. I was so careful to follow the directions to the T and the night I did color my hair the color was very pretty, unfortunately, after that it only lasted maybe 2 weeks. I am careful with what I use and/or put in my hair because I have curley/wavey. dry. turning grey hair and it can be a pain but this color just didn't want to stay and basically washed right out. Don't order if you want black dyeI gave this a fair shot, tried to adjust my order 3 times. I asked for black. All 3 adjustments couldn't get to black, so I spent 3 months with brown or visibly grey roots. Customer service was very friendly, but ultimately unable to make BLACK hair dye.
