Salon Prima-Donna Converted!I am that person who buys the obscure fancy imported shampoos, the Dyson hair everything, and flies across the country to see their stylist and colorist - I've been to the best in the country, from Koji's to Choi and beyond. $300-700 on a colorist? Sure. why not. I never in a million years imagined I would color my precious locks at home - box color? Not on your life. COVID Quarantine Hair began to wear me down though, and the inch and a half of my natural 4.0 dark brown regrowth and abundance (abuuuundance) of greys was really clashing with my much lighter, dry, brittle, washed out brassy Goldwell 7NN/6NN/7A/7G and 8N/8G gloss more than I could handle. What's a spoiled hair diva to do? eSalon... the ads got to me, so I did my research and took the plunge. For $22 what's the worst that could happen? For kicks I added the cape and color tools kit (mixing bowl, brush, clips, timer, etc), and a bottle of between color tint wash. The kit arrived on Saturday and off the bat I was impressed with the quality of the packaging, supplies, instructions, and extras. I set to it, and my husband chuckled from the living room. We both expected well, box color. I couldn't have been more wrong: I. Am. AMAZED. ASTOUNDED. The color is EXACTLY what I wanted, the shade is perfect, vibrant! My dry damaged hair is renewed to it's February splendor, so lustrous and shiny - I feel like me again. Not quarantine pj-all-day me, but luxury stepping out of the Beverly Hills salon me. I am just speechless. Never thought I would be singing the praises of color ordered online and applied at home but O MY GAWD. It's just: perfect. You guys nailed it. I am flabbergasted at the gorgeous color and truly couldn't be happier. Listen. Take the chance, go for it. I just want to grab every person I see with drab box color, roots aplenty, tired sad blah quarantine hair and make them try eSalon. I am 100% converted for life!!! Excellent customer serviceLoving this service. Unfortunately the shipping can be a bit lengthy if ordering for Canada. So please take this into account. I have found the communication with the colorists top notch. WOW!As one who has spent 35 years going to a salon to have hair colored, I was terrified to do it myself. My uncolored hair is very gray (just about white) and after letting it grow out about 3-4 inches, I decided the gray wasn't for me. After researching options, I liked that eSalon developed a system to match color based on providing a picture, completing questions, and having stylists on staff to answer questions, so I took a chance. When I did a strand test, the color was too light and barely covered the gray, so I called eSalon and spoke with Heather who helped to determine that the color formula needed an adjustment. She also took the time to ask about my previous salon experience with color and reviewed the picture of my hair on file as we spoke. She explained why an adjustment was needed and sent out a complimentary new color kit to try again. Also, since my gray was so grown out, she sent a little extra to ensure I would be able to cover it all. I will need a little more practice doing it myself, but the color is amazing! It matches the base color of my ends (I had highlights), it is shiny, it penetrated my gray, and after 3 weeks, it has not faded! My expensive salon color always faded after a few weeks despite using shampoo for colored hair. I love that everything needed to color was in the box (instructons, shampoo/cond., 2 pairs of gloves, brush, and bottle). I am high risk for COVID, so going to the salon is not an option for me. Thank you eSalon for the wonderful product, support, video, and availability during this time.
