Not worth it!Not sure how there’s so many great reviews. I was pleasantly surprised with the presentation of the box and everything they sent however considering i colored my hair on 10/6 and today is 11/10 that’s not good. $4 revlon lasts longer and did a better job. Maybe because I’m a redhead but I don’t think that’s the case. This coloring made my hair multiple colors. I was grateful I did it right before Halloween. They sent a “root” color and a rest of the hair color. These colors looked like night and day they were so different. So in general, not for redheads! Too expensive and only lasts 3 weeks if that. I wasn’t planning on giving a review but I would’ve liked to have known this before purchasing so here I am. So today I’m trying the second box because I forgot to cancel autoship. I am hopeful that since I don’t have a “root” color that it won’t look as bad this time. Unless a miracle happens with this color job (highly doubtful) I will never purchase esalon again. Too bad too as I like small businesses and their presentation. Really wish I could upload my pictures. Almost looked like a clown. Maybe that’s why?! 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Very disappointedI was looking to lighten up my natural dark hair so I decided to give myself a try. The palette offered through the app seems limited in terms of variety of colour for my taste but I decided to give it a go anyway. I chose one of the lightest tones available thinking it would be noticiable change. I followed all the steps, I covered all my hair and waited according to the instructions but the results were far away from my expectations. It has been 5 days since I applied the colour kit and I can't see a difference between my original colour and the formula chosen for me. Yikes...When I recieved this color I was suuuuuuuper excited. It looked great until week 3...then...there it was....suuuuuuuper hot roots. I chose a level 3 mahogany brown. My roots...well....they are a cranberry red....what the huuuuuuh? Didn't even last a weekStated I was 50% gray, colored my hair making sure to cover grays several times to make sure they were good and saturated. Followed instructions, probably left on for 5-10 minutes longer due to application and getting ready for rinse, wash, etc. Once I was done and dried my hair, the reason I colored it were staring me in the face. Grays white and bright with no color sticking at all. I'm three weeks after color and my hair is more gray than when I was 4 weeks past due w/ color - and its dull, has no shine and looks totally flat and unhealthy - and gray. I will never purchase again. And now I'm stuck becuase I don't want to put more chemicals on my hair until at least 5-6 weeks. I wanted to love it, but didn'tI started using this a few years ago. I love the company and customer service was really good for the first couple times when I had questions or wanted to adjust things. I found the color fades extremely fast on the hair dye and I ended up adjusting it so much because you can't really tell what it's going to turn out like. It often didn't look like how I was trying to get it to look. What would be good would be to see X is what your hair will look like with this color or a shade sampling but you don't get that unfortunately. I just wasn't happy with the result in the end and resorted to Keracolor color depositing conditioner... 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you? |
