Color not what was orderedMy "colorist" decided the color I ordered was not going to be flattering, so I was sent something completely different. I could have returned it but it would have cost as much in return shipping as what I paid for the order to begin with. So I figured I had nothing to lose since I paid for it anyway. I used the color and not only read it not what I ordered, but not what the bottle and order says it was. I wanted a copper red, they sent me "light brown red mahogany", and I got something that resembles a dark bozo the clown red. This is the worst color I have ever had. I won't waste my money again, especially when I have no idea what I'm going to get. I still don't understand why they would randomly send me the wrong color, unless that's their way of getting you to buy more, too fix it. No thanks. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Rocky experienceUpdate: Third try. This color is better than Walmarts colors but it STILL turned out pinkish. I didn't even do it this time, my husband did. I originally wrote what is below. I have gave this a second chance (my hair used to grow slowly but due to supplements is is growing much faster). This second time my hair turned out just plain wrong, at the roots. It was embarrassing and I probably won't be giving it a second chance since I feel like the color care team acted like I was stupid and told me (basically) I must have swapped the bottles. I wasn't asking for anything except that the color be formulated different. I have been let down and I am very saddened since my first experience was just amazing. I have went to several different hair salon over the years, trying to get the perfect color. I have even bought at home hair color and tried it myself. Even when I went to salons the hair stylist always ended up turning my hair pink or a different color than I had originally planned on getting by talking me into something else. I have naturally strawberry blondish hair and I just simply want it a little bit redder. I honestly didn't have high hopes for this and I was beyond impressed!! My hair came out EXACTLY as I wanted it! The esalon team matched a color perfectly just from my notes and photos. The product is nice BUT adjusting it just wasnt right for meThe product is a good quality although a bit pricey. Coming autoship was very handy. But getting adjustments done was poor. Seems once you put color on your hair, that is it. You cant adjust it lighter, only darker according to what I was told. I know my salon has lightened my hair so it cant be impossible but they cant do it here (?). I stopped shipments and am going back to my salon. Past colorI have been happy with my present color but I am getting more gray or I should say white. I would like to lighten the color a little more so that when my hair grows out the gray blends in better. Actually my natural color is white not gray. I get lazy about keeping it colored all the time so there are times when it will grow out about about 2 - 2 1/2 inches. When I use the eSalon the color stays in longer. ???I don't get it???2nd bad go at this hair coloring business.Hi Everybody! Well I did the color formulation Esalon sent me and i did it correctly. The 1st bottle (root application) The second bottle (ends gloss application) The 3rd ( all over with the leftover color in the shower for several minutes) It still did not do anything at all! If anything, the top of of my hair...the roots came out a teeny, tiny, weeny bit 🍓. But you can barely, if any at all, see this. Actually, i still look pretty light blonde. No change WHATSOEVER! The rest of my hair ( the ends application esalon suggested I do?) Nope. Nothing. It didn't come out 🍓 at all!. There is no change at all! If anything, I'm going to call it a day and give up on trying to get that perfect color, because it just isn't working out for me. Thanks for trying super hard, Esalon, as you have on getting it just right. I know that you really, really did. I just believe i would have to be there for you guys to know exactly what color and how to do it by looking right at my hair. It just isn't working out and a lot of it has to do with the damage i already had done to my hair prior. Thanks for trying though. The color was actually looking quite dark while on my hair after after applying it not even 5 minutes into the wait. (I was even worried it would come out too dark) Dark! However, it washed right out after rinsing. Miss Stephanos A. ,(My Colorist), hit it "Dead On" when it came to the shade I had desired! I'll give her that!!! Kudos! I had chosen a Dark Blonde Neutral as my color, but i felt that it was just a tad too dark, with the medium blonde being a little too light. But it came out ashy with a really green tinge!
