hair stickyI just used this for the first time. I was very careful to follow instructions closely. I used the enclosed shampoo and conditioner. My hair is dry now, and its very sticky. Hair turned to silly puttyEverything was fine till I went to rinse out dye. My hair turned into a blob of rubber. It was not penetrated by water. The water solidified it. After panicking, I reached for the strongest shampoo I could find & was able to dissolve the congealed blob section by section. It was a frightening experience. Disappointing after a first great experienceI made a first order for a semi-permanent light brown and I was so impressed with the colour and everything. I recommended eSalon to my sister. She got a permanent darker brown/soft black. I helped her to apply the colour and it was a disaster. Like another customer, Laurie, despite following the instructions to the letter, when I tried to rinse my sister’s hair color, her hair seemed caked with glue. I used your shampoo and conditioner, then another shampoo, then an oil-based shampoo but her hair still felt gross and the water was still dark. After an hour in the shower we decided to stop washing as there was no improvement. We used a towel instead to tried to remove the ‘glue’ attached to the hair, applying lots of force. After another half an hour of this, there was still a slick coating on my sister’s hair. I was mortified by this. I had suggested your company to her and convinced her to give a try. But her colour was totally different from the one I received. I thought something was not quite right even when I mixed colour and developer for her - it smelled bad, like ammoniac, rather than nice like on my first experience. The glue effect went away after almost a week of vigorous shower and towel massaging. She looked messy and gross for almost a week. This is not acceptable! 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Not my desired colorI'm considered a "natural red head" but my natural color is kind of a strawberry blondish brown...? I really wanted to have a copper orange red. So I went with Intense Copper... but ended up with just an auburn red, with copper orange-ish hue when the sun hits it....... :( I've never been able to achieve the color I desire... I was really hoping by trying this with a "personalized colorist" and adding my picture of my natural color I'd get a better match. It's not all for not...
