Hair color turned out terribleI ordered what it was supposed to be medium blond with a few copper highlights in it and my hair turned out dark Auburn. Completely opposite of what I was looking for. And if a person compared it to the picture I picked out the color I picked out is like night and day. Completely completely different. I am completely dissatisfied with this I look terrible! I won't be getting this again! The people were really nice and answered all my questions in the beginning. But they have you go through and answer a bunch of questions so they can get an idea what you are looking for and have you pick out a color that you want. Not the sameI had a great color the first time I ordered but the second time is way darker. Not the same. I’m FURIOUS. I want blonde hair, not light brown and this color has set me back in my hair color goals. Not quite my colorI finally used my color kit. It has good instructions, & I think the product is good. I wanted to cover my gray hair mostly, but didn't want to darken my natural color. I am somewhat disappointed that my med blonde turned out too dark -- almost brown. I don't want this color again. I guess I'm not med. blonde, but lighter. Still WAY too dark..This is my 2nd time using eSalon and both times I have hated my color. It didn't come out AT ALL the way I was expecting it to. I didn't want to write a semi-negative review from just 1 use..so I decided to wait for my "adjusted" color after consulting with my colorist through my account. Didn't help at all. Very disappointed. I wanted SO badly to like this. The only EXTREMELY POSITIVE thing I have to mention (which is why I gave it as many stars as I did) is how well it covers my grays.. If I could ever get the color I really wanted, I'd have zero issue using eSalon. An additional comment, which really has nothing to do with eSalon but just home color in general... It is much harder to do the color yourself than some will lead you to believe, especially if you have very long hair like mine. I'd always suggest to have a handy helper who doesn't mind giving extra arms (yours WILL get tired) and eyes to make sure no area is missed. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Hair dye chemicalsThis is the 3rd time ordering, the smell is so intense. I dont know if you have changed the ingredients but I dyed my hair 2 days ago and twice I felt the chemicals actually burn inside my nostrils. Since then I have the most severe migraine. It actually feels like my brain is throbbing. I am never someone that suffers with headaches and the grey coverage is definitely not worth this pain! It's pretty worrying to think what is inside this dye to have my body react in this way.
