UnsatisfiedWhen I first started with esalon, they gave me my color with a 20 vol developer. I’m a freelance makeup artist and hair stylist so I know a thing or two about hair and how to color. After the first four times using esalon, I started to notice breakage on my edges and my front hair line. Since, I am using black hair color them there is NO reason at all why I should be using a 20 vol developer. I figured the high vol of developer is what caused my breakage. I emailed them to change the developer to a 10 so that wasn’t an issue. After each color, I washed my color out and the process has been far from easy. Here’s some of the cons I’ve noticed using esalon color: 1. It takes forever to rinse out. 2. The color feels sticky like glue when trying to wash it out which is not normal. 3. Still haven’t gotten what I want for color...My hair tends to get brassy easily. I followed directions exactly as it states and even though I told them the first time and for a re-formulation, hair still looks redder and brassier than I would like. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. DisappointedIt was easy and efficient. The instructions we're clear and the product easy to apply but it was not the colori was looking for our described. I would give less stars if I couldI got 2 bottles of color one for the roots and one for the ends I got 3 sections of hair riot colored and small part of 4th and ran out of color. I was expecting it to be a darker copper then what it is. I said I have long thick hair so I would think they should know that requires more color. I am devastated.I have medium/dark brown hair with red undertones and I like to color it a brighter red. I selected a dark brown/red/ burgundy as my new color, and sent a picture which is recommended. I also advised that I was looking for intense color. After coloring with E-salon, my hair is dark dark dark brown now.....AT BEST! I think it looks black. I hate it. My hair is dry and miserable looking. I followed directions to a T, and read all the reviews. Decent color, fades quicklyI'm happy with the color right when I dye it, but it fades quickly. I know reds are hard to maintain, but I've done red in the past with many different brands (both grocery store box dyes and higher quality salon dyes), and haven't had as much fading as I have with esalon. I have to use the tint rinse and buy an extra bottle of ends refresher to keep the color vibrant- this is much more maintenance than I've had with other brands in the past. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Great colourI really liked the colour, almost exactly what I wanted. However it did fade much faster than usual despite using the esalon colour care shampoo and conditioner.
