Low qualityDamaged my hair, color didn't last. My stylist did not listen to me on the color customization I wanted originally. The redo that she sent me was a semi perm and did little to adjust the color, and additionally having to dye my hair twice in a few weeks damaged it terribly. Horrible .. EDIT 10/17: Will give it one more tryAbsolutely did not like the formula or the color it gave me. No purple shows up, it turned my hair almost black! I cancelled my membership but I was charged for and sent 2 more packages. A complete waste Edit 10/17/19: Desiree from esalon reached out to me after receiving this review. She was very polite, offered solutions, and helped me feel better about my experience. I will try out a new color. EhhhhI was excited to try this, and I really do like the shade. However I don't think this is the best dye. I followed the instructions. I was going maybe one shade darker and a little warmer than my current hair color. The custom instructions said to do basically a root touch up. Which I did. Unfortunately, as I suspected it might, by following them I ended up with hair darker at the root and lighter at the ends. It also did not fully color areas in my lengths. It's okay because it just looks highlighted, but I really was going for full coverage here. I also found that the dye stings a bit. I also think it has made my hair a little more oily.
