Very UnhappyThis color didn't work on my dark hair - I followed the instructions exactly and even tried another bottle and had my husband do it a second time. Still no results! Great colorI like the color. First time it lasted months. Second time it's lasted two weeks and the gray is starting to show. I also bought the rinse. I'm not liking the way it makes my hair feel. I thought the color was right until I looked at the order and should of gotten the darker choice. Super BrassyI had high hopes for this hair color, unfortunately I am so unhappy with my color. I specifically stated when I ordered that I didn't want any brassiness and now I ended up with ginger dark blond hair.... which is fine if that's what you want but it was supposed to be a beige ashy blond to prevent the brassiness. The smell was also horrendous I couldn't be in the shower with the shower curtain closed because I couldn't breathe from the ammonia. Now I need to figure out what will happen if I put regular box dye over this to correct the color. Everyone says to use the purple shampoo but I find it very damaging to my hair and it's way too brassy the purple shampoo will not do enough. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Waxy feeling on hairI don't know if it's just me or not but this color, shampoo, and/or conditioner left a waxy feeling on my hair and a weird waxy buildup on my scalp. No different than drugstore box colorsI was so ready to lighten my roots and cover the grey and was excited at receiving my delivery. The instructions were easy to follow and the supplies (brush, 2 sets of gloves and stain guard) were appreciated but that is where my happiness ends and disappointment begins. The developer smelled just as bad as any drugstore box color (it gave me such a migraine) and it took longer than expected (my own fault for lack of experience). I waited the required time (30min per instructions) and upon rinsing my hair (not as messy as i thought it would be), washing and then styling, my hair felt dried out and the color had me crying (still does). I'm a bright blonde, close to platinum with chocolate tinted lowlights. My roots are now more strawberry blonde and did not blend well with my ends. My roots are still visible, they do not match. It's not what i expected given how eSalon advertises their "custom fit coloring with soft and shiny results". Customizable ColorGood Afternoon- I understand that I was able to notate that I was unhappy with the color from my first order, but when I colored my hair, I was disappointed because my hair looked black rather than dark brown. I followed all of the steps when picking out the personalized color and even washed the color out a few minutes earlier. I felt embarrassed to complain, so I canceled my future orders, but I apparently canceled too late and my order shipped out the next day. I am not sure what to do with the product I currently have, and cannot use being that it is only to color my roots and the rest of my hair has since lightened.
