I greatly emphasized the need to avoid....This last color did exactly what I expressed I did not want. The previous color was fine and then I requested to go lighter. Color fadingThe color didn't cover all the grays. After application and my hair drying the grays around my ears was not covered. I paid close attention to this area since I know these grays are stubborn but the color didn't take. Also it has been a week. I have avoided swimming pools, and only washed my hair twice since I dyed it and the color is fading at my roots, and it's not root growth. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Really unhappyThe product arrived covered in dye fingerprints and was sticky as if it had been handled without gloves when formulated. Even the instructions had dye fingerprints all over. The dye bottles also did not fit in the poorly designed packaging so had been rolling about within the box. Nonetheless I thought I'd ignore that issue and give it a try. I followed the directions exactly. The product left my hair feeling like it was covered in sticky wax, I freaked out thinking it had melted my hair off. I had to wash 5 or 6 times and in the end resorted to fairy liquid to remove the greasy waxy texture, and even then it still felt sticky and nasty for weeks. Whenever I touched my hair I could feel stickyness, and it looked greasy at the roots and underneath even when freshly washed. As for the colour, I was very upset. The root formula turned my roots bright ginger, and the main colour turned my blonde hair patchy dark auburn which was much darker and redder than the colour I selected. I wanted a copper blonde as per the photo but it looked nothing like that. The patchyness became worse after a few washes as some areas fade I spent several weeks trying to repair the colour thank goodness I was in lockdown and nobody had to witness me looking so awful. My hair suffered a lot of damage in the process and it took several appointments to correct the colour by a professional. It still is not completely even and has lighter patches where the root colour had been applied, but I was told my hair cannot withstand any further dying at this point and I have to now leave it to recover. I would not recommend this service, it ruined my previously butt length blonde hair and I had to cut most of it off because I couldn't cope with the tangling and matting and dryness it caused. Even with hair repair masks and leave in conditioner the texture is permanently damaged and I'm waiting for it to grow out healthy again which took me years to get it to this length and now I've lost most of it 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. AppaulingFirstly, I choose my hair colour from the options and added a photograph. The colour was darker than what I wanted !!!! Esalon said to use colorb4 to strip it back.(not good with extra dry curly hair). The next colour which I changed, still dark brown not copper. I changed it again third time unlucky. This had been changed but was a roots only refresher. Why would I put a copper colour on my roots when the rest was red/brown. Rubbish they don't listen to the customer at all. Very expensive and not a colour I would buy again. £24 after initial 1st. I got £18 back but no £6 for p+p.!!! It was always late up to 2kg parcel is £3.10p half the price they charge. It was 48 hour postage but had to wait a week extra for it to be posted. So just £3.10 was a like for like better option Rip off. It's not badThe color was a good match for my roots. I didn't use the color on all of my hair. The product is pretty thin - nowhere near as thick as the color the salon uses. It also didn't last as long. I color my roots every 4 weeks - I barely made it 3 weeks with this. The towel they include does actually get the excess product off your skin.
