Colour changeMy colour was almost the same as my natural colour but over the following weeks it turned a ginger shade which is most unpleasant & will take months to grow out. Came out light redI did this on virgin hair with highlighted ends. Instead of medium blonde I got a light copper red on the virgin hair and something like medium-ish blonde on the tips. Problem is it looks gross- roots aren’t supposed to be warmer/lighter than the ends. I followed the instructions and did the ends last, but seeing how awful it looks on the virgin part- the majority- makes me think whoever mixed the color (Samantha) just picked the wrong color. Wrong ShadeI order a medium blonde copper color. What I got was a dark violet red color, I had to go to my hairdresser to get some of it stripped out. Would've had better luck going to Sally's and getting color from them. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Incredible presentation but mixed resultsSo, I will preface this by saying it was fully my own fault for misunderstanding what colour I'd receive based on how dark my base hair was, but it is true that I wasn't satisfied at all by it. When I contacted customer service to express this, not only were they incredibly reasonable but upheld their colour guarantee promise and listened to all of my concerns. I do intend to try this product again and will most likely review then to confirm my thoughts, but solely based on this experience I would just want to inform anyone with about medium brown hair that this shade (medium brown red copper) will be very very subtle on you. Perhaps that's what you're looking for, but I truly just wanted to have a brighter red copper shade, which is why this is 3 stars. The packaging was as beautiful and well organised as the adverts suggest, the smell of the product was much milder than box dyes I've previously used and the texture of my hair did generally feel brilliant after. If you're scared of trying, definitely do give it a go but don't feel afraid to contact them concerning exactly what you want. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Wrong colorI asked for a lighter hair color because my hair always lightens during the summer. Turns Strawberry Blonde. It now is a true COPPER PENNY color, shiny and very pretty, but certainly not LIGHT, not Blonde, not Strawberry. Nothing like what I wanted. Unhappy with how the color turned outI tried esalon because my sister has been using it for quite some time and likes it a lot. If you want a normal shade of hair then I'm sure esalon is fine. However, I was definitely looking for something more vibrant and had uploaded a picture to show my faded, brighter copper color. From the choice of esalon's pictures online it looked like my choice would match the roots I currently had and that I choose a bright enough color. However, my first warning that I would not like the result should have been the email from the colorist saying they wondered if I wanted to go even lighter because they were afraid the color I choose was too dark??? I said I would like the lightest copper possible based on the example I uploaded. The result was my hair went to DARK COPPER instead of light copper and even though the company offered me a free color because I didn't like how my hair turned out I have to strip this color out of my hair because I cannot use a lighter color as it currently is. Now I would like to say that the dark copper is a nice shade, and I've received a lot of compliments, but it is not what I wanted. I believe the colorist didn't include the right developer to lift my color more. The lady that used to do my hair used a higher developer. I know this for a fact because she told me and my color was much more vibrant/bright. She stopped doing hair which is why I decided to try this company. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Won’t wash outI liked how easy it was to order a customized color and the cute packaging. The color was more or less what I wanted. I got a demi permanent which is supposed to wash out after 24 washes. However, it’s been 80 + washes using mostly clarifying shampoo, and my hair isn’t back to what it was.
