The color is absolutely perfectI love the product; esalon colorists have matched my "before-gray" beautifully. But the instructions leave a lot to be desired. No reason is given for different instructions--apparently I'm supposed to spend $20 to color just my roots, now that I've been using esalon for a year. Changes requested were perfect!My first delivery was too dark so I contacted esalon to adjust the formula. The first adjustment still had a little too much brown and purple.
