Better than my professional salon!For years I have been going to a fine French hair stylist, who both cut and dyed my hair. When the recession hit, I tried the l'Oreal products in CVS, but my hair was redder than I like and was getting dry and fly-away. Then I discovered esalon. Before I went gray, my hair was curly and dark brown. For a long time, I tried a lighter color, but it just looked mousy. Esalon adjusted my original color with them, which was too dark for me these days, and now it is pretty near perfect. Not brassy, not black--a warm brown that provides sufficient contrast to be flattering without being harsh. I get the non-permanent color and refresh it every 3 weeks (my roots grow out). A tweak here and thereMy first experience with esalon left me underwhelmed. I had chosen from their selection of colors and definitely didn't get the results I wanted. A few months later, I responded to an email. I gave specifics of what I didn't like about the color. I sent photos. And I agreed to give it one more try. I got rich color that didn't fade to a brassy, unnatural color, and it was truly formulated just for me.
