DisappointedThe 1st two orders were great! The color was good, shipping was on time. The instructions were clear except what to do with the additional product. Then I received my 3rd order, did exactly as the 1st two times, but when I went to rinse it out it turned into a very thick waxy feeling substance. I washed and scrubbed twice with no luck getting the goo out of my hair. I was stressed and was on the verge of being late for work. I call Customer Care and explain the situation, she said that doesn't happen often, but it does happen. She instructed me to go buy some clarifying shampoo. When I asked why this happened, she said possibly adding too much or not enough water to hair to work it into a lather before rinsing out completely. I ended up shampooing 6 times before getting the gunk out of my hair! I ultimately decided to give it one more try. This time was nearly identical to the last. Color applicationVery runny would have preferred gel type. You get the Gloss free only with your first order. I can not imagine not using it, because it is not very shiny. So that would make my next order too expensive for my budget. I was so excited... Just like any other hair color in a box that I have used. Perfect application but colour darkerI liked the whole process a lot! Very easy to use. But even though it is the right colour it came out darker than I expected. Is it possible to make it a little bit more brigh? To resemble more a blend or copper, Ginger, and gold. I like the colour a lot, but it shows its full shine and brightness only in the sunshine. completely wrongMy custom color was supposed to be a copper red. My natural color has no issues lifting a couple of shades lighter. I knew something was wrong when the dye was dark, but i used it anyways And now my roots are dark brown. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Started out Gorgeous...My color started out Gorgeous! It was a deep mahogany brown with a rich red cast and a shine that I was very, very pleased with. I waited 3 days after coloring to wash my hair again. That was a bad day. My red began to lessen significantly, the shine faded too. The deep brown still seemed ok. Two days later, repeat, less red, now less brown and the xtra shine was gone. It's a week out from my first color and I do have color holding, no stray greys showing or anything like that. But it certainly didn't compare to the day I colored it. A couple more days, another shampoo. More faded color and shine. I'm pretty much down to having just plain brown hair now. I do already have my second kit as it came sooner than I expected. I will probably wait about 2 weeks and try all over again. If I get a second failure then my first try with eSalon will have cost me more than my regular stylist. If it works then it will have worked out to be the same price to get my hair colored, once by my stylist, twice by myself. Either way it seems I've not come out so far ahead as I thought I was supposed to.
