Not Even Close - HATE IT!I was looking for a reddish brown color and my color turned out a very dark brown (almost black) which looks awful on me. No red in this AT ALL - not even in the sun. I went through the questionnaire process and chose the color I wanted and even included pictures. I would have achieved better results (and I have) had I purchased a color off the shelf at the grocery store. I have colored my hair many times myself in the past and had no problem achieving the color I wanted. Now I used a colorist and she has never had an issue getting me to the color I wanted. She was ill and had to cancel my appointment and I couldn't get in for 4 more weeks so I took a chance on this. Lesson learned. HATE IT! 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Second Attempt - A Bit Better than FirstHello Jennifer, Thank you for reformulating my initial color. I asked for better gray coverage. I compared the online notes from the initial color vs. the reformulation and both sets of notes (that I can see online) are identical. Should I expect to see a difference in the notes that refers to the better gray coverage? Regarding the results, this second time I used the bottle to apply the haircolor and not the brush/bowl method which I used the first time. I like the bottle application method better. After following the instructions, waiting the 40 minutes, then applying the leftover color to the ends during the rinse process, I am still experiencing a much darker result over the entire head than desired. I am not sure what additional adjustments can be made to the formula, the shampoo, the conditioner or to the method of application. What do you suggest? Didn't cover my grays.... 😕I haven't colored my hair in probably 5 or 6 years...I like my natural color.... but now that I have gray friends everywhere, I thought I'd give it a shot! I did a lot of research on which product to buy, because I've heard my mom, aunts and other people say that gray was hard to cover.... finally settling on eSalon because of the specialized products and amount of detail they provide... And, well, it is hard. Obviously. Because here I am with dyed hair, color is kindof okay... but still have the grays. And, I paid extra to get the bowl, cape and mixing tools, etc...(planning to continue ordering with autoship) but never got them. So I cant really provide a review for those. disappointedWas excited to try your product! I followed the instructions exactly like it says. The results, the roots on top are lighter than the rest of my hair, and my hair, it looks dry and lifeless! So disappointedI ordered back in April, I finally used it for the first time tonight due to I went to the salon for mother's day. It felt like goo in my hair, I still don't have it all out and I have shampooed 3 TIMES!!! I still have 2 bottles of this left and will NOT be using it!!! I have never had any problems with at home color but wanted to give this all the new rave way a go and NOPE!! Ok day 2, after washing repeatedly last night I wake up this morning and realize by my hair sticking up that it's still not all out, I have colored my hair myself for 15yrs now. I wash 3 more times this morning and finally got it all. Now my head itches and burns a stylist looked at it and said it's a CHEMICAL BURN!!! Thanks alot esalon, good job!!
