For some reason, it turned out darker this time.I don't think I did anything different, but for some reason my color turned out significantly darker. it was ok, not exactly the color i thoughThe color was not exactly on point, but the experience was very nice, easy to apply and it left my hair soft and smooth like I was applying a hair conditioner not hair color. Much too DarkThe first 2 months my color was much too dark brown and does not look good with my light complexion and green eyes. I'm almost afraid to try again. But I will give them one more try to get it right. I NEED MORE AUBURN!!!!!!!!!!! 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

2nd Color application: NO GOOD!My initial custom color package was wonderful! High quality coverage that lasted and made my hair soft and silky. So I decided to allow my recurring order to continue. My second round of color was no where near the first experience! Right after washing out the color, I still had gray hairs that the color didn’t penetrate even though I applied the color the same way I had done the first time. In addition, my hair felt VERY dry and brittle. It felt like straw to the touch. I don’t know if esalon sends you very good color initially to hook you, and then sends inferior quality products thereafter but I’m very unhappy with my second application and will probably be canceling future orders. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Hair colour, light blonde, 8beigeI was so looking forward to the colour i had picked. It was easy to mix, and a lovely consistency, but was shocked to see my hair was not a nice cool, light beige blonde, but it was bright Ginger! instead. I must admit i was very dissapointed, and rushed out the next day to buy a shop dye to change it. However i know my hair is very stuborn, and resistant to alot of dyes/ colours etc. This is why i wanted to try eSalon, for a more professional quality. I absolutely loved the way they package my goods, and was very happy about the overall quality of everything i had ordered. I was a little dissapointed with the application brush, as i felt i could be a bit bigger and firmer. Also, the tint rinse i used was barely negligable in toning down any brassy tones, even after leaving in for 4/5mins. I also found it a bit runny. Apart from that, the quality of everything was very good indeed. I think that maybe it is my hair that is the problem. The clips are fab, the cape was brilliant, and Weekly Retreat is amazing. I even used it on my friends, very thick, stubborn grey hair, that was in the worst condition imaginable. To say it was like straw, was an understatement. After a light trim, i applied Weekly Retreat, and we were both amazed at what it did for her hair. It completely changed it. It was beautifully soft, shiny, and managable. She couldnt believe her eyes. Perfect proof of the quality of this product. I have now changed my colour to a light ash blonde. So i am hoping this will work better on my hair, when it arrives. The only reason i gave 3 stars, was because the colour came out ginger? nothing like the shown examples. Plus the tint rinse was a little weak in tone, even though i had lightened my hair slightly, to get rid of most of the ginger. It did just about take the edge off, but not enough for my liking. Maybe if you were a very light bleached blonde, it would look lovely. BUT, i must say, all the products were of exellent quality. Im a happy bunny.🐇 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Not quite the color I ordered....My color was supposed to be a dark blonde.....but this is no dark blonde. I'd say medium brown at best. Not a bad color, just not MY color. And grey coverage was pretty good. I'd say about 90% of my grey is gone, but I do see some stranglers on top of my head. LIGHT SET REVIEWThere is no way to leave reviews on the light set (which makes me wonder why?) so I'm including it under my color review. My all over color was great--my colorist took my feedback and ordered a great color for me--medium brown with golden & copper. I loved it...until I used the light set. I was told the only appropriate light set for me was the light to medium brunette. After doing my all over color then the light set, my hair washed out with brassy and orange tones all over. The highlights were just a lighter orange color than the rest of my hair. I followed the instructions exactly for both the all over color and light set. When I called esalon, they said the only way to try to correct the color was to color my hair all over with a neutral light brown color. The colorist said they don't have any other toners like you could get in the salon to correct the brassiness. So my recommendation is if you have copper mixed in your overall color, DO NOT use the highlight set especially the light to medium brunette one. Also if you do use the light set, make sure your strips of hair contain an even amount of the lightener mix from top to bottom, otherwise some parts of the same strip will have brighter and darker spots. Additionally, I don't know why they recommend starting above your ear because then this area sits the longest with bleach on it and ends up being the lightest of all the highlights. I'd probably go back and do that at the end instead of starting with it first and letting it process for so long. Ways esalon can improve the light set-1. make the lightener pouch a cream (powder is messy), 2. share a video of someone with thick and/or curly hair-the girl in the video has thinner, long , light hair. 3-show pictures on your website of people with brown or copper hair who have highlighted their hair with your product 4. allow reviews of the product online 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. It burned my scalp.I have really short, fine hair and the process was too strong for me. The colorist suggested a semi permanent process that isn’t as strong. I also requested a color change.
