ConcernedI haven't actually used the dye yet but after reading reviews I was concerned about what I read. It seems the company automatically adds you onto a repeat order set up. I checked and indeed they have. I also found that they had automatically saved my credit card details, which they had not got my permission for. Nice color, straw-like hairI liked the color and all of the tips that were available for me to apply the color correctly. In fact, your customer service is top-notch. What I didn't like was how frizzy and straw-like my hair felt after coloring. Since my hair is naturally curly and coarse, I need something that makes my hair feel more soft and conditioned after coloring. The color itself was just a tad light. It colored the gray roots, but didn't match the rest of my hair (This has happened before when using other hair color products.), so I still have roots, they're just light brown. The rest of my hair is darker which will mean that I'll have to apply a touch up product to camouflage the roots until I color again. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Charged for something I never orderedCustom hair color—sounds good right? And (for a very short time) I could get my first color for $10. When will I ever learn? Box came . Color inside. Ok. Really wanted to continue my subscription but...I went to the ESalon in Los Angeles and loved getting my color done with the colorist. She was great, the color was great although my hair felt a little heavy afterwards, and I loved getting the kits sent to me. I got my first kit at home and meticulously followed the directions. I don’t know if it is because I live in a city with extremely hard water or what but the color turned into a waxy, sticky mess in my hair that would not go away after several shampoos. I could not brush my hair or even dry it properly. I reached far back into my brain to think about what could restore my hair - chemistry courses!! Oil binds with oil so I massaged my hair in olive oil for 10 to 15 minutes. It was a messy process too but it enabled me to finally wash the waxy sticky residue out of my hair. I thought this might have been an anomaly so I tried again 4 weeks later and the same thing happened. Not what I was expectingI was expecting the color to be darker. It said medium brown, but there wasnt much of a difference from my natural dark blonde hair. It was also very coppery which I wasnt expecting. On the plus side, the directions were easy to follow and my hair feels very soft. Something has changedI've always really loved my esalon hair colour. It had very little odor and I always loved the way my hair felt even right after a colour (which was a first for me). For the past several colours, I have noticed a change. The colour feels really waxy and is really difficult to rinse off after a colour. I don't love the way it feels as I used to. I hope that things go back the way they were or I will have to look for a better product. I ordered to dark I will need to lighten a shade or so.I received the color I requested. The color brightness on my computer must have been off. The brown I ordered was darker than I like.
