HorribleI started with my very long, completely natural (never colored) hair. I followed the directions exactly, which were to apply the color from root to tip. I ended up with roots that were the color I wanted and the rest of my hair looked like no change happened at all. Hot roots. The next morning I went to a salon and paid a ton of money for "color correction". Although the salon was able to mitigate some of the damage, my hair is still uneven. I can't believe I trusted this company. It took YEARS for me to grow out my long natural hair. After YEARS of wanting copper hair, I was finally ready to color it. I wish I had just gone to a salon in the first place. Ultimately, I would have paid less, and more importantly, I would have had a whole head of even color. Color Didn't TakeI was so excited about this personalized hair color. I followed the directions step by step, but instead of a light blonde my hair came out pretty much the same color with a red-ish tint. I have never known my hair to have any red in it so I don't know how this happened. Eh, barely changed my undyed colorWanted to lighten my red hair a bit, I've done this years ago with store boxes, no problem! Expected the same and was disappointed. SplotchyI have been going to a salon for years getting my hair colored, I had a friend (who’s a licensed cosmetologist) help me with my color. Show me how to do it at home since she’s moving. The smell was unlike any other hair color. It made me tear up constantly it was so strong and foul smelling. And after following the directions after I blow dried my hair was splotchy and the roots were not colored at all. TerribleThe day before I was to stand in my nieces wedding, I colored my hair with your product which basically messed up my hair. If I wanted it to be messed up I could have gone to a real salon and had them do it! Colour initially too dark, then washed out very quickly.My custom colour turned out a very artificial looking dark brunette with red tones, it was meant to be a 'natural golden dark brown' - the golden tones that I did see were through any white hair that I have, these came out much lighter than the rest of my hair - so they looked like highlights amongst the rest of my hair which was very dark. It washed out extremely quickly - within three washes with gentle shampoo it had faded significantly. I contacted customer services about the issues I was having, and they did offer to send the next colour free of charge - but since it washed out so quickly I decided not to continue. I thought I was supposed to get the color I asked forI was so excited because it arrived quickly, the packaging was amazing and felt personal. I guess BECAUSE it was personal I was expecting the dark red I asked for. But my hair barely got any red in it. I tried it the second time around & it went away completely.
