Almost thereThe color was nice, but not quite true to the photo. I expect more violet undertone and it seemed just reddish to me. Gray coverage was OK. It didn't quite saturate and was very light compared to the rest of my hair. Thankfully I don't have too much gray hair, just some strands around my temple. I didn't have an issue with gray coverage with other brands and I followed the instructions to the T. (The instructions by the way were very detailed, which is a plus) The additional color that was included for my ends smelled so strong with ammonia. Which is strange because the color for my roots didn't have much of a smell. I like how my hair didn't feel damaged after and seemed smoother and shinier. Overall my experience with this product and color was ok. I am going to try again after suggestions made to the colorist. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Extremely DisappointedI explained to the colorist that my hair was a washed out brown, it hasn't been dyed in over 6 months and that I wanted to go lighter for summer. I also explained that my hair pulls red. After using the color that I was sent it is exactly the opposite of what I wanted! It is now darker with red undertones. No change in color after request to lightenAfter my 1st time trying the product I contacted the support team requesting a much lighter color, I also uploaded pictures of my hair color as requested. The 2nd color I received was almost the exact same I received the first time. The 2nd formula did cover the gray better 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Good start with some complicationsThe pack contains well written instruction, gloves, shampoo and conditioner, stain protector, stain remover and enough product. I was surprised that there was no brush. Considering that other necessary items were provided and well though of, I did not expect that and maybe it was my first ever application, I had no own brush. It made my life really complicated and in the lock down it is not easy to get hold of a brush! I hope my next time will be easier. Poor resultsMy hair prior to coloring was a very bright blonde and my roots were showing. After using the color treatment sent to me by the salon it turned my hair red! Did not work for meI ordered a different colour to my usual colour. I explained I had tough grey roots and that I had long hair that I had dyed darkest brown so much the ends look black. Slightly strange outcomeThis is easy to use and overall pleasant experience of colouring at home. Little mess, clear instructions. I've used bowl and brush for application. The outcome is mixed: colour matching and grey coverage is good, but in some areas my hair turned orange. Small spot in parting and small spots on the temples. Brassy tones.....grrrrrrSpecifically stated ASH tone. Received my eSalon color kit which was very nicely put together I must say and it arrived very quickly too. I was so excited to color my grow out and I used the brush and bowl technique. Sadly, after washing out the color, I could see lots of brassiness while my hair was still wet and while blow drying, cringed at seeing all the brassiness in my roots. Used my purple shampoo to tone the brassiness down but it is still not what I'm used to. The eSalon colorist created a more "warmer" color of medium brown for my hair then a cooler ash tone that I had specified. Sorrry not for me! Custom ColorStaff was friendly, & very nice. They were EXTREMELY busy due to Covid-19. My order took a very long time however because they were so busy it’s very understandable. But anyone needing something now during this pandemic keep that in mind. Directions were so easy, application easy, everything was great about the product itself. Hair care kit was very nice. Color however wasn’t what I asked or wanted, it was more of a brown Because it was so brassy then a dirty blonde. I was blending the bottoms up to my natural roots to cover previous blonde ends— but the bottom is now more of a brassy brown color. I may order again to cover it up it’s so bad! 😭 I truly think this company would be 10/10 when they can take the time on the order and get back to you and throughly help you get what you want. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
