Doesn't cover greysI have had my color reformulated 3 times just so that I end up with tinted, not colored greys. I have a lot of stubborn greys and after coloring they look light blonde at best. I've had better coverage from the store bought boxesI was really hoping to love this since I saw such good reviews! My previous color roots are still shining through this color that I was sent(soft blue black). From a distance in dim light you can't see it, but in bright light or sunlight, you see my old black plum color through. Wanted Blonde got redheadI am really annoyed. I thought we had corrected the problem from the first time, BUT NO! Now, I'll be going thru Christmas with flipping RED HAIR. and it is STILL TOO DARK!!!! How is this medium blonde, natural golden, IT IS RED. Everything great except for the color...I really enjoyed the experience of coloring my hair at home. Never done it myself ever, and I'm in my 40s. I've been a slave to the salon for 20+ years. After being frustrated at my salon colorist never wanting to do anything but foils on my hair, I decided to try something new. Here's what I liked about my eSalon experience - the packaging, the price, how glossy and shiny it made my hair, and the grey coverage. I'm just not happy with the color. I don't feel like it's what I asked for. I was expecting a dark blonde but I feel like I got a slightly gold-tinged version of my natural color - light brown. Also the roots came out lighter than the rest of my hair. It all feels like a bit of a disaster. Hoping it can be worked through and I can arrive at my perfect color with adjustments. Cannot use this colorAfter patch test ,very thankful I did it. Light Blonde with a neutral tone was very red. Very little gray coverageI’ve tried this twice now, my colorist adjusted my set after the first one because my grays were not covered. So with this set, she simply told me to leave the color on for 40 mins instead of 20 mins on my grays. No change to my formula was made, just the processing time. It seemed to be better this time, it looked darker. Now I’ve washed it once with a very well known salon color safe shampoo/conditioner and many of my grays are already showing again. Of note, I also noticed that my ends have lightened a couple of shades since washing this one time as well. Esalon is not the correct formula for me unfortunately. Update on my last color treatmentAs I wrote previously, I colored my hair, it still pulled red, yet I was going to give it another try. First off let me say that my hair growth is slow, in the norm I have very little new growth after 6 to 8 weeks, my grays start to appear around the six week mark. Having said this, with my first order I colored my hair and by the time I received my second order my grays were just starting to show, that was fine. This last order, I colored my hair shortly after having received my package (approx 10 days), I followed instructions as indicated (only the roots), I did not follow with the balayage because I wanted to wait and see how the color would come out. I try and wash my hair twice a week, and I noticed every time I color my hair, after I wash my hair the color changes, the color kind of settles, which I don't mind cause if the color came out well, after the first shampoo it comes through beautifully. As I said, I colored my hair (roots), as instructed, washed my hair, color was okay, still pulled red, even more so this time than the last (not happy), but I said to myself it is what it is.... Three weeks went by and lo and behold my roots started to show... and no, I still haven't done the Balayage Light Treatment... If I was disappointed last time with my color pulling red, this time around I'm extremely disappointed and unimpressed. It's like I was given a weaker formula??? With my hair growth being so slow, how in the world is it possible that after three weeks my grays/roots are showing?
