My roots are still red and fade out so quicklyMy request/goal was a hint of red in my medium-dark hair. This is auburn or was when I was choosing a color. A small amount of red to add a tone that was noticeable when the sun shined on my head, that was what I wanted. When I'm indoors under recessed light, my freshly colored roots look very red. A week later they are pale, almost pink taking on a glow. I'm now buying boxed ash brown to get by. The dual process should be the perfect system to create a completed coloring for my "simple" request especially with increasing grey to deal with. Wrong Coloring 3 times nowI was so excited about my order. When my daughter applied my first set, it was roots to cover gray and 1 bottle of color for the rest of my hair. My roots (gray) were not colored at all which was bad enough but the color actually didn't color the regrowth as I am a medium brown and I like my color dark brown/black. Therefore you could easily tell where my gray was and regrowth was and my darker hair from about 2 inches from my scalp to the ends of my hair. I wrote in to my colorist again and sent photos, explaining what had happened and that my color should be even darker, they adjusted it. 2nd time weeks later after my adjusted color arrived we tried again, much to my dismay it still didn't cover the gray or the lighter regrowth. I wrote in again, explaining the same issue. E salon was kind they readjusted my color again and sent me 1 bottle free of charge. The one bottle they sent was for roots and all over color. Weeks later, my daughter applied this new adjusted color last night. After I rinsed it out then shampooed & conditioned with the product they sent, guess what? The yet again adjusted color did not cover the gray, nor did it color my lighter growth AGAIN. I literally cried last night as I cant keep doing this and paying for this product as well as the time wasted. I love the idea, but how many times can a woman re-color her hair before its destroyed? Not much because I do have damage and had to have my hair cut between my last color and the one last night and it is still not what it use to be. Don't misunderstand I am not reapplying every 2 weeks, I am waiting the typical 5-6 weeks with a lot of gray and light brown regrowth. I am extremely upset and just want to cry again today. Yes we follow their directions to a T. Before eSalon, the product I was using from my local beauty supply store gave me zero problems and it covered everything to perfection. Not the color I wantedI want it to get the color disclosed to my natural hair and to dye my ends I add photos and everything. I color my hair for so many years now and this was not even close. They suggested dying my roots and then everything else. I DID IT! and now my hair is so much darker at least 3 shades difference and my roots have some reddish in it. THAT I TOTALLY HATE. I will wait for a little bit and I'm gonna use toner and try to lighten it. Overall was an easy and quick application. E salon SUCKSFirst off, I was super excited to receive my color set. Rave reviews and quick shipping…love. I told my colorist my current hair color and the color I wanted to achieve. My natural hair color is brown, however, my hair is currently blonde. I wanted to go for a light brown. However, I would’ve been nice to know that I would need an orange or red color beforehand to get rid of the blonde. So, my hair is completely the same. Nothing at all as changed. I’ve been crying forever. Oh and also…..my volume 20 developer just EXPLODED everywhere. I was sitting in bed and heard a strange noise. I look over and the developer is on the ground with hair dye ALL over my room. My walls are now stained with hair dye (which I will get fined for so thanks eSalon, I appreciate that). My sheets, blankets, makeup, skincare, carpet, floor, walls, clothes, and blinds are all COVERED with hair dye. I highly recommend staying away from this company. When were they mention in those high-valued magazines? What, in 2010? Because they sure don’t deserve it now. Washed out immediatelyI ordered this to touch up my roots from brown to black and the color lasted a few days until I washed my hair a second time and now it’s ALL gone 😭 I feel like I wasted so much time and energy. Lovely colour, just not for my skin tone.Although i don't think the colour suits my skin tone, it is a nice colour. And the shampoo/conditioner left my hair feeling beautifully healthy even weeks after the dye application.
