Best At Home Color I Have EVER Used!I’ll admit I was skeptical. I had some previously, less that perfect, experiences with at home color. I was at the point of booking an appointment at a salon. I decided to give eSalon a try based on a Facebook recommendation from a friend. I wanted a light brown color to cover my gray and not look brassy. As I waited the 30 minutes, my anxiety grew, looking at the dark color of the product I had applied to my roots. I wanted a beautiful, shiny, golden LIGHT brown, not a dark brown or a brassy reddish brown. I was worried. After following the directions provided, which were unlike any I had ever seen with at home hair color, my results are better than I had hoped!!!! I am beyond thrilled. I'm a convertI used to go to the salon every 4-6 weeks to have my roots done, which was $50 to $100 every month. This was a lot of money to be spending so frequently just on root touch-ups, not even changing colors or adding highlights, but I couldn't think of an ulternative since I have had some unfortunate incidents with boxed hair dye in the past and I'm always afraid I'm going to screw something up if I just buy professional hair dye and do it myself. I saw an add for this on facebook and saw the reviews, so I thought why not. From the first time I used it, I definitely saw the difference. My hair is so much shinier and smoother, I have even noticed it getting healthier over time. The color blends perfectly month to month and the directions are so simple to follow. BetterI think that it is my hair not your color. It grabs the color and your color stays instead of fading. So it has gotten a little darker but this lighter color will help over time. Your color is awesome. Why doesn't salons use your color? I have had my hair done in a salon for years and the color faded after a month. It's working for meI use to use box color religiously for my hair; as I'm turning grayer by the minute. It was cheaper but the color would fade at the roots pretty quickly. E-Salon color is a bit pricier but the color doesn't fade quickly. Its definitely has more tones in it (which I like). It doesn't look like flat, matte 1 color from a box. I've gotten quite a few compliments on it. As a natural curly WOC it's always been hard to find a color I like that worked with my skin tone. It took me 2 tries of coloring my hair to write this; the color is definitely more flattering than what I was getting in a box. Love this product!I was a customer years ago and loved the product then. My color was Copper Mahogany. The only reason that I discontinued using it was that I wanted to go back to blonde highlights all over and needed to go back to a professional. Called Customer Service and they were wonderful. It was no problem and I was told that my file would be kept on hand in case I wanted to return. Just recently I wanted to change back to Red. My professional colorist did a great job with the change but she moved out of the area. Took a chance with someone new and she totally botched it. It was dull and not the color I wanted and I got to pay $75. I certainly didn't want her to try to fix it. Thought to myself, "I can do better than this and pay a lot less money." Let's see if eSalon is still as good as before. So I called Customer Service and was treated just as graciously as years ago. My file was still active so I took the steps to order again and resume auto-delivery. I could have elected to keep my old formula but I wanted to tweak it a little. Some of the names have changed but the product quality and delivery are still A1A. I was thrilled with the results and paid a LOT less money!! The instructions were thorough and easy to follow. If you're tired of paying someone a boat load of money to color your hair or you're not satisfied with what you can pick up in the drug store, This is definitely worth it!!!! 323 of 338 people found this review helpful.
